The True Revolution Of Humanity (For Christians Only)

Many political ideologies tried to change the world, many thinkers searched for the next utopia in some newfound mathematical formula or economical model. What none of these systems adress is the root of all inequality and vice in the world. Narcissism and the condition of post-fallen humanity. It took nothing more than a prideful thought to turn the gloriously luminous archangel Lucifer in a fallen monster. And to make the first Ones contemplate godhood without God and fall as well (what modern transhumanism and new age agendas preach is nothing new in that sense. It was there since the first of us walked the earth).

When you want to maintain your physical health, you have to train your body right? A great part of the modern western civilization, quite obsessed with its appearence, dedicates a huge amount of time, money and effort to keep the vessel in as a better condition as possible. Lots of anxiety and insecurity surrounding the wrapping paper's appearence, an obsession which can sometimes go a little off the tracks of normality.

What else is needed to maintain our vehicle/body? Some good food right? Nutritiously rich food. If our body needs so much attention and care to maintain a healthy standard, how much care does our soul need? While we've made a whole civilization around cattering to the body's needs, have we put even a fragment of that effort in the prettification of our soul? As fruits and veggies are a food for the body, PRAYER IS THE FOOD OF THE SOUL.

In the words of Christ Himself, "The humans can't survive on bread(food) alone". Our reason of existence is communing the grace of God. Humans are God's love incarnate, in the sense that they are vessels created to be filled with His joy. Prayer is our communication device to actively commune with God. Prayer is the act of humility and love that re-bridges the gap we created with the fall, and connects earth with heaven once again.

How to Pray

First and foremost prayer can be quite dynamic, in the sense that we can't really put it in molds. We can only clarify certain requirements. God never stays in the surface. He goes to our deepest motives and vibes hidden behind our every action. If you pray without repentance and an honest feeling of sinfulness. If you pray revengfully or to harm someone. If you pray in a commercial relationship with God, where you think that He is your errand boy and you can remember Him only whenever you need something. Then you are in for a dissapointment. God cannot be tempted. Cannot be fooled. And cannot be provoked. God's language is love, and only that He understands.

Once you realise you are in dire need for His mercy you can begin praying honestly. God has nothing to benefit from us, we have EVERYTHING to gain from Him. He gives us eternal life, the only thing He asks in return is OUR SINS. God wants you to surrender to Him your sinful passions and desires forever, and grow in His arms into a person of light.

What you need to pray. Either standing, or kneeling down, preferably in a candle lit (not many distractions) and quiet room, with your hands crossed as a sign of respect and your head inclined downwards, you begin praying. But its NOT LIMITED there. It can happen while you are lying on your bed, on the bus to the way to your work/school. Anywhere, it can happen in your head as well. With what to pray? You can use "Our Father" the prayer our Lord Himself gave us. One we should daily make, begging for forgiveness and our daily bread (nothing is for granted). Or any honest prayer will do. A simple THANK YOU goes a long way. But there is also another powerful prayer. The prayer of the heart. Which goes like this.

Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me a sinner.

A powerful and very compact prayer that dates back to the Apostles and contains the wisdom of 2000 years of Christian ascetic Tradition. It recognises Christ as your God and Savior. It highlights your sinfulness. And has you approach Him like a beggar, begging for mercy. Only humility will beat the pridefulness of narcissism and attract the grace of God. It's fast, easy to remember and easy to repeat.

HOW TO DO IT

While you say it be in a state of greatfulness and honest repentance towards God. Say it in a meek and very imploring way. Not rushed or in a demanding manner.

WARNING: While Praying CONCENTRATE CAREFULLY ON THE WORDS AND THE WORDS ONLY! DO NOT MAKE ANY IMAGES OR FANTASIES IN YOUR MIND. Not even of the crucified Lord Himself. No images. If some come up by themselves, don't oversweat about it, just send them away immediately and reconcetrate on the words. Say them in a loving way especially when you refer to the name of Christ, and concentrate on their meaning. If you make images, demons can creep in through the fantasies and give you false illusions and even let you astray if you get too comfortable with these images. So to conclude this NO IMAGES OR FANTASIES.

HOW NOT TO DO IT

You will notice with daily experience that the quality of your prayer for the most part depends on the quality of your virtue for that day. (And God's mercy above all). If you make unfair judgments over people, carnal sins (including masturbation), or eat heavily, you will notice that the quality of your prayer is hindered and more temptations rise. So God loves purity, and even if you fall, find the courage, to stand on your feet again and ask for forgiveness. With more warmth and dedication this time. Humans have flunctuations its normal we won't always be stable, also some times the Lord tests our faith by substracting some of His grace as well. And God will you realise how small we are without His help. It takes to experience this first hand to realise.

Interesting thing with this short prayer is that you can even synchronize it with your very breathing!

Lord Jesus Christ (inhale), have mercy on me a sinner (exhale). Your very living breath becomes Christ. Our minds are way too sensitive though, and easily distracted especially as novices so a praying rope might help you keep a track of every single repetition, and help you keep them going in a steady flow.

How long should i pray?

As much as your conscience dictates to you. But be careful, its better to be humble about it. Start small. Do it for 3-5 minutes every night before you sleep. And do this for one week. Next week Do it for 10 minutes. And so on and so forth. If your body burns out in training if you go full throttle from day one, why would your soul be any different? The grace subtly and mysteriously saves, so you need to be patient.

After praying you can also read a passage from the bible begging God to keep you clear from all deception and enlighten your mind cause we are unworthy to discern His truths ourselves. We need ask for them, not consider them for granted.

What obstacles you will face on your path

When you begin this routine, first of all demons will get extremely pissed off. Expect quite the temptations

1)First of all they'll bombard your mind with thoughts about quitting it, and about how useless or even dangerous it is for you (dangerous for them actually, that's why they get irritated that you'll make your soul an inhospitable place for them). They'll give you the most rational excuses to stop.

2)Your boss in your job, your wife/husband, even family and friends. Even your own mother can start tempting you and throwing little insults at you like "What, are you gonna become a nun/monk or what" and things like that to dishearten you. But you shall not succumb. The devil has no problem using even your very parents, especially if they are unrelated to spirituality, as a vehicle to stop you from your growth. To such temptations you should ask for strength, and if required even abandon the toxic environment.

3)DURING PRAYER. They'll bombard you with images, newfound desires (or resurface old desires more strongly than ever), and in general will use every weapon in their arsenal to hinder your communication with God. Can enrich your imagination. Can even inspire you to invent the next iphone or something! while praying. Anything as long as you stop.

4)CAUTION. If they see all other weapons fail, they'll resort to the most efficient one that touches from the most amateur to the greatest ascetic. SUBTLE PRIDE. They'll whisper to you things like "Look at how glorious and saint-like you've become." "Look at how much your prayers work". "You've already unrooted your sinful desires from your heart, you deserve to be with God now". Even in the suspicion of such a though, REMOVE IT FROM YOUR MIND IMMEDIATELY, and continue praying like nothing happened.

5)VISIONS. They can even give you visions of angels, and heaven or even Christ Himself, DO NOT let them sink in. They are most probably demonic deceptions like the ones New Agers see, and they can even get you possessed if you accept them.

6)PHYSICAL ATTACKS (RARE AND AGAINST VERY CLEANSED PEOPLE USUALLY. DON'T FEAR IT CAUSE IT PROBABLY DOESN'T REFER TO US). They can even interact with the physical realm, lift objects and throw them at you. Appear in front of you mock you while praying, call you names, scream blasphemies, whatever you can imagine. A friend of mine who is a monk while he was lying on his bed praying he felt fingers with nails on them pushing him from the back and lifted him about 2 feet from his bed. He repeated the prayer of the heart and they scattered away after a couple minutes and never had this attack again. Saints had even worse physical attacks, some even played literal box with them (as you spiritualise the threads of material and immaterial realm become thin). When a saint admitted they lifted objects in his room and attacked him, people asked him and how did you respond. He said "I simply said, you rightfully beat me ungodly demons, i deserve it as the sinner i am, i have many sins to pay off towards God". (With that humility you get why he's called a saint. Don't worry these temptations will probably never be a problem for us lol).

What progress i will notice in my self

Deification is a unique process for every single human and the Holy Spirit gives different divine gifts to every body. But a general rule of thumb of things that you will notice especially on the amateur levels (to which i will belong myself) are:

With time you will notice you head and thinking becomes clearer, you are happier and more content. The others will tell you that something has changed on you. Your face will become more calm, your mannerisms and inner self as well. You will have a more greatful and positive outlook of life. You will become more subtle and discreet and will hardly be able to think of non good and will grow aversion to evil. And the more you advance you will notice that by saying this prayer, after a point you will be constantly in a state, where you are like you constantly expect a very beloved person that you haven't seen for a long time to come today to your house. You will constantly be in that non pompous state of joyfulness and positivity. If only more people were aware of this, 99% of antidepressants consumption would vanish from the world.

With time it unroots your sinful desires and transforms your heart. It rebridges the dissalignment most of us have between heart and brain. And both our heart and brains will then desire what God desires. With time it can even become automated and repeat itself in your heart, sustained by the grace of God that will find refuge there. Your whole existence can become Christ and live and breath for Him. Useless thoughts (which many times aren't even ours) are the main root of most evils on earth. The mind can be a prison or our liberation if used right.
