Why The Current Consent System As Well As The Attitude Towards It Is Downright STUPID

Firstly I'm pretty sure 90% of people on here know what consent is and how it works but I thought fuck it I'll write a myTake on it considering I know people in real life who've been subject to this shit because they don't understand what consent is.

Firstly:

1. If a girl says she will have sex with you, whether is a year ago or two minutes ago you should always double check just before you do the deed.

2. If she says stop at any point during, that's it. You stop. You don't carry on, you don't beg you literally just stop

3. If she says to carry on, carry on. If she says that's it its over, that's it you get dressed, go beat off or something lmao.

In other words the female (male too) has the right to refuse the sex at any point even if you are 20-30 minutes into it, if you carried on after he/she told you stop you my friend are committing rape. It really isn't that hard so I don't buy any bullshit excuses I mean for one when I lost my virginity at like 15 she asked me to stop and I did, it was as easy as that.

On the flip side. Yes rape can fucking destroy a woman and its absolutely humiliating the tests they must go through, women too should also be aware of the sense of responsibility they have. You can claim rape get a rape test and then get someone who had consensual sex with you arrested for rape, now this is pure scum just as much as rape. You'd be ruining someones life in some countries and its not uncommon for prison gangs to really really hurt rapists. As in murder them, not to mention you'd be on a sex offenders list...

Now this part is up for disagreement

Intoxication. Its a weird one. Because if two people are doing drugs together they are both unable to consent right? This is definitely not true because if so I was raped because I have been on drugs multiple times and then asked for sex by someone else, its ridiculous. I disagree with the whole if you can't consent (because you're KO) then yeah that's rape but if someone does a bit of Coke or something I find it ridiculous how its considered rape.

The double standard

Another thing I noticed with males is they tend to take rape extremely serious "oh yeah we'll go jump that guy" until you mention well the girl said "I told him stop half way through" its like immediately they don't care anymore. It's quite a strange way to look at it, on the flip side I've heard girls say to a guy who didn't want anything do with the child she thought she was having that she would go to the police and get him done for rape... Like... She didn't but the fact that it is so easy is scary.

Tips

Next time bois, bust out your waiver lmfao and girls I know its not your fault and I can understand it would probably put you in shock its not one but the attackers fault but next time just gauge the guys eyes out or some shit if you can manage, finger nails are a great way to get someones DNA for evidence.

Rape is a horrible crime one of the worst crimes I believe one could commit, absolutely traumatising for the victim. It takes a very special kind of sociopath to do that, just like it takes a very special sociopath to accuse a guy of false rape.

Girls, stay safe from the weirdos out there they are literal scum. Depending on the country you live in you could probably buy pepper spray (don't buy it in the UK it literally does nothing) or something here in the UK a rape alarm may work.

Guys, this is gonna sound retarded. But if you're sleeping with a girl at least make sure you have some consent proof whether its a text or anything, I know you're not always gonna be able to do this lets be honest but stay safe out there. The more people that abuse this system the more genuine victims are affected.

NOTE: Same applies to a male, he can stop it at any point and can't consent if unconscious. Attitude is even worse to male victims because they are generally laughed at.

I agree with everything said here, in a courtroom everything here would be valid, also about the intoxication it depends if you're super intoxicated (even though the law says even at minimal intoxication you can't consent) If I got tipsy with my boyfriend and we had sex Id say Im consenting because I'm in a state of mind where I can consent, depends on how people take alcohol and what kind of alcoholic they are, but that dosen't matter in a court of law be reminded. But if you're off your head, don't know the person and say yes I would say you cannot give consent and it could be considered being taken advantage of. Also about the double standard I hate it, My mum did that to her ex and he was questioned, luckily the police said it was a mishap because my bitch of a mother finally realised what she was doing is ignorant and stupid.

The law on very few places says mild intoxication invalidates consent. In the UK I’m pretty certain you can legally consent up to the point you can’t form words or tell what’s happening. Ethically maybe not but the legal line is extremely intoxicated
