Not All Straight Males Are Turned on by Lesbians or Bisexual Women

People always assume that all straight men are turned on by lesbian porn. People not just believe this misconception but also try to make it seem like straight men “have to” be turned on by Lesbian porn. I’m a straight man myself and I do not find lesbian sex to be hot, I have nothing against lesbians or bisexuals. Lesbian porn doesn’t do anything for me and neither does it do anything for several other straight guys.

1.)Stereotype: There’s no rule book that says “every straight man has to find lesbians hot”. A straight man not liking lesbian porn doesn’t make him any less of a straight man. No matter how much people like to assume every straight man likes lesbian porn, it’s just not true.

2.) Many guys want a 100% straight biological woman: It gets annoying when society says that all men care about is looks, men are a lot more complex than that. While looks do matter to men, it doesn’t mean all men will overlook the other factors to solely care about a woman’s outer beauty. Many men also care about politics, personality, religion, lifestyle and sexual orientation. There are many straight guys like myself who only date straight biological women, it doesn’t mean we have anything against bisexual women. We just have a preference for straight biological women that’s all.

3.) turn off: While lesbian and bisexual behaviors may not initiate any reaction from some guys, for certain guys it’s a turn off and can even be a deal breaker in some cases. I often hear stories of straight women desperately trying to impress a guy by kissing another woman and it only ruins her chances of getting the guy’s attention and may cause the guy to be disappointed because he may have liked her prior to that.

4.)Not homophobic: Another petty argument that people will use is “Oh, since he doesn’t find lesbians to be hot and he doesn’t date bisexual women then he must be homophobic.” I’ve sternly addressed some of these people before for using binary thinking and false dilemmas. Just because a guy refuses to date a bisexual woman and isn’t turned on by lesbian action, doesn’t mean he’s homophobic. That’s like assuming all lesbians are misandrists just because they aren’t attracted to men. There could be many reasons why he’s not interested that aren’t the result of homophobia, maybe he doesn’t want to compete with women, maybe he has standards etc.

5.) Zero Chance: The reason why some guys don’t find lesbians to be hot is because they know they have zero percent of a chance at dating one. It should be obvious but apparently it’s not.

6.)gynocentric double standard: Why is it widely accepted for women to not be turned on by gay males but it’s so hard for people to accept that not every guy is turned on by lesbian porn? By the way, it’s well known that most women aren’t turned on by gay male action because women aren’t that visual when it comes to attraction.

7.) Sexualization of lesbians: Hollywood and the mainstream media sure love to use cheap methods to attract specific audiences. On several occasions, they show lesbian sex scenes to get the attention of the male audience, promote “progressive” politics and boost their ratings of course. It also gives the wrong idea that all women are secretly lesbians or can be turned into lesbians.

8.)”straight” women watch lesbian porn: I don’t know if more women watch lesbian porn than men but it’s been shown on several occasions that straight women do watch lesbian porn as well. So we can’t say that lesbian porn only caters to straight men.

Again, I don’t have anything against lesbians or bisexual women, I’m just making it clear that not every straight guy is interested in them. It’s not always “homophobia” and it’s not always “misogyny”. It can be preference. Nobody can force a male to like something or date someone he doesn’t want to date. Regardless if a male is interested in lesbian porn and or dating bisexual women or not, he isn’t hurting anyone.

This is not badly written, but it seems to be bayonetting a straw man. "Not ALL straight males are turned on by lesbians..."

Name anything that ALL men are turned on by. Even levels of sexual arousal tend to vary. Some straight guys have minimal sex drive, others would have sex with a newspaper.

Frankly, what tends to turn on most guys about lesbian sex is A) two beautiful women - and men are visual. They tend to respond less to context than to form. B) It is different. It is not what men are accustomed to seeing and that difference, because sexual, becomes arousing. In this connection it is not the fact that the women are lesbians/bi-sexuals, it is the sex itself. To a man, this is suggestive of sex generally.

My girlfriend and I have lived together for ten years and have three children together. That said, I get turned on watching lesbian porn and - SURPRISE! - she sometimes gets turned on by gay porn.

It is not something either of us go crazy over, but it is the "differentness." It is seeing the man or woman in a different context from which we normally are used to and seeing a man or woman being aroused by it that becomes arousing to us.

Much of what the author wrote has a grain of truth, but it is in some sense overwritten. For all the elaborate explanations, it boils down to this: Sexual stimulation is deeply subjective, and therefore everyone is aroused differently. It is, as I say, a little like setting up the straw man so that you can knock it down. As I wrote, "There is NOT, to my knowledge, any presumption that ALL men find lesbians/bi-sexuals. It's refreshing to hear that not all straight males are turned on by queer women. As a bi woman, I love men but I don't like when my sexuality is fetishized or considered about men or male fantasies, it's a legitimate thing that I don't need eyes or commentary on. I've been lucky to have dated men that don't do that. EXACTLY! I mean, I have no issue with lesbians, but it's the "bisexual" women who are gay, that happen to annoy me the most, because unlike honest lesbians, the "bi" lesbians ARE in straight people's dating pools! Like a giant turd in the pool, to be honest! They're not the only one, polyamorous people and transwomen also happen too ruin dating for straight men! Likewise, I can totally relate to lesbians not wanting "bi" women either! Why the hell WOULD someone want a partner, who at best, can only be 50% satisfied and content with you (and I don't even believe most "bi" women lean more towards men; they're mostly lesbians in my opinion).
