Being Straight Needs a New Classification. *Hyper-Straight*

The Issue with "Straight" as We Understand It

Here are some examples with the problem I have with the with the word "straight" these days. Men these days are doing some questionable things, while still calling themselves "straight". It is almost as if they don't want to be associated with being gay or bisexual, even though they are doing things that make them questionably so. For an example:

A- Men taking it up the rear with dildos.

B- Men eating their own ejaculate

C- Men allowing other men to give them oral


D- Men who are cuckolds.

How is this not gay???

I get it, men who want to remain in the straight category, want to be allowed to partake in things that are considered gay by many, while maintaining a "straight" title. However, to a person who is truly straight, this not only intrudes upon my sexual preference category, but it also inadvertently places me in a category I no longer care to be in.

Since we are now faced with men who are conducting questionable activities sexually and calling themselves straight, I propose we add another sexual category to the list, to indicate men who would never conduct themselves or allow themselves to indulge in any activities, because they simply feel like such activities is a step toward not only being gay, but such activities would even make them feel violated.

To me and many others like me, being straight is a code you live by that has certain guidelines. These guidelines are pretty strict and do not include anything that can be misconstrued as being gay. I personally even think that sharing your wife or girlfriend with another man is bordering a thin gay line.

Since we have overstepped what the meaning of straight means, I believe that men like me (and there are many out there) require a new term to fit who we are and what our personal sexual preferences are. I introduce the term, "Hyper-Straight".

Hyper-Straight: A Sexual identification that is completely against anything that can feel or be perceived as relating to being gay or any other homosexual activities. IE; Anal Penetration, being a cuckold, oral sex with another man, or ingesting one's own bodily fluids.

  • I've often wondered myself and also been asked what is or is not straight when having conversations. But, my beliefs on the subject are very simple.

    Straight: Anything between a man and woman.

    Gay: Anything male to male or female to female.

    Also, anything to or by yourself is also straight as you doing something to yourself cannot be gay. Homosexuality in your case would require another man to be involved.

    Some people might consider some actions that you've mentioned as heteroflexible. I think that the things you've mentioned if involving a female would still be considered straight or if some male involvement could be considered heteroflexible. (Assuming it's a guy.)

    I'm sure some may disagree but oh well. I believe your term of hyper straight isn't really required. Instead you can label things you don't deem straight enough as heteroflexible even though judging from your comments we would definitely disagree on what is what.

    • I'm overly concerned about people calling themselves straight, when they are not... at least not by any standards that I consider straight... and after talking about this a lot across many different fields, it has become clear that I am not the only one who feels this way.
