First, I have questions, then I have answers.
But I don't want this to just be a meager little "myTake" left alone to drift away in a sea of forgetfulness. I would much rather this be a "yourTake" as well! Tell me what you think the answers are, and your opinions on them.
And please, I am very serious about these questions and your thoughts on this subject!
LINGERIE QUESTIONS
Is the world's sexiest lingerie really just for hookers as many girls have been led to believe by the prudish pundits in our society, while the more moderate, less risque and boring thrift store hand-me-down items are left over for the rest of us to endure in a yawning selection of mediocrity?
Did hookers develop sexy lingerie or do they just make the more predominate outspoken use of them?
Why do many people think of hookers immediately when they see the sexiest most eye popping lingerie?
Should it matter to anyone else, what we wear in the privacy of our homes and/or our bedrooms ...or should we be more concerned about what we, our SO and/or our intimate friends think about our lingerie and what we look like clothed in them?
I absolutely love sexy, sensual and alluring lingerie. I love wearing it, I love looking at it, and with the somewhat more recent microfiber material, I even love to feel it with my whole body, it's like softer than silk ...I'm not kidding!
Several days ago, a wonderful GAG girlfriend was asking about a particular item of lingerie and mentioned that she wanted to avoid anything that made her look like a hooker, and I don't blame her for feeling that way at all.
But it made me start to deeply question my own views on this "intimate" subject. Like ..."I wonder, is it us non-hookers that look like hookers in sexy lingerie, or if really, it is the hookers that want to look sexy like us non-hookers in these enticing textile delights, while experiencing such exotic and erotic splendor?
So maybe we shouldn't be so ashamed of being seen in them by those in our close circles around us, you think?
I mean what came first the chicken or the egg in terms of the creation of the most dainty of lingerie wear? Was it us, or was it them?
Is it fair that hookers alone should start dressing in the sexiest of attire, while the rest of us are not allowed to do the same without being labeled among that group?
And just as a disclaimer, I personally have nothing against hookers at all, really, but just for the sake of this argument only, I am referencing them in a way that may be less than flattering just to make the point.
myTake
I did some research on this subject and in some thorough studies, I could not find where the lingerie industry was effected or influence by hookers in any way. Both practical, and sexy, stockings and corsets had been in use for a couple of hundred years by most average, as well as elite women of the time.
Although crotch less lingerie has been around since the 1800's, it was reintroduced and further developed in the 1930's for the still Victorian era average women of the day.
In the early 1940's DuPont invented nylon and shipped 50, 000 nylon stockings to Macy's one day in 1945 - They sold out in 6 hours. I promise you 50,000 hookers didn't rush the Macy's store in 1945 New York to buy these most delectable of stockings.
Since pantyhose had yet to be developed, these were "thigh high" nylons which were held up with garter belts and, along with corsets, were the sexiest lingerie attire of their day.
In the 1950's and 60's a variety of sexy lingerie was being developed for average sexually liberated woman including, but not limited to, many more sheer and breast enhancing styles.
The bottom line is - there are not enough hookers alone in the world to support the mass market production of the unlimited variety of styles, colors and sexually alluring modern lingerie available to today's girls.
It is today's modern girls and women that uses, wears, loves and appreciates the sexiness and allure of the plethora of sexy lingerie of all types, styles and varieties, and refuse to be categorized as a hooker for doing so. And tens of millions of those girls and women will back me up!
I say ...let's set aside the prudish demands and suppression's of the past and flourish in our private passions of splendor!
