How to Spot a Catfish (the male fantasy version)

People, due to popular demand, I have pulled together some further insights as to how to identify a catfish, both on this site, and elsewhere.

If it looks too good to be true, it IS too good to be true

Guys (for it is mainly guys who seem to fall for this), if a 'girl' user on this site posts selfies of herself without her face showing in a thong bikini, then it ISN'T really a girl.

Have you ever noticed that a LOT of real girls on this website complain about hassle from male users, based on their profile photos? I bet you have. So why, why, WHY would a real girl go out of her way on here, of all places, to solicit this? She'd do it on Instagram, where there's a chance she can actually make some money out of it...

If it seems like an older man's fantasy of what he WISHES real teen / twenties girls were like, then it probably is an older man behind the whole thing

Especially if he uses profile pics that he knows can't be found online, either because he's taken them from a 1993 edition of Penthouse, or from a VHS porn video still from something that was so crap, it's never been transferred to DVD.

And if his 'character' talks the way that no real girl has talked since the 1860s, then that's a dead giveaway, too. It tells you he hasn't got a clue what a real girl in that demographic talks like, because... he NEVER interacts socially with them. So he makes them talk like Scarlett O'Hara because that's what he'd like the porntastic dream babe he's created to sound like - Oh MY!

If there's some reason your 'friend', who is just SO forward with what 'she' posts online, won't Skype with you, well, then, isn't that a dead giveaway?

Especially if she's already told you girls how sweet you are, and that she's bisexual, but these days she's more interested in girls, surely she'd want to get to know you better, right?

If the story doesn't hang together properly, then that's generally because - it's NOT true...

Such as the person concerned having a busy social life, hanging out with 'boys', shooting guns, having multiple sexual partners AND managing to hold down a job at the same time? Even if it is with 'Daddy's' mysterious company?

And that's not to mention the fact that they seem to be always available on G@G, no matter what time of day it is...

Also watch for when "she" gives you a phone number or a website link so that you can "chat" better. The phone numbers given will bounce to a pay-per-minute and you will get a bill that costs you a few hundred bucks. Oh yeah that little dirty talking "girl" charged you 5.99 per minute.

The website link was "free" but you had to enter your debit/charge card info to prove your age. Oh, sure the access to the site was free, it was the other 14 websites that you signed up for by clicking the "I understand" agreement that cost you $19.99 to 79.99 per month.

- claiming she's a nudist
- love to practice hot yoga
- enjoys wearing provocative attires out in public, like the gym

and many others within the same nature. lastly another is if she makes it official that she prefers to talk with girls over dudes and then tries to justify her decision in any way.

oh wow I can't believe I missed that one on Scandinavia. coincidentally this brings back memories of a stereotype I found out on Swedish people after playing Minecraft. which is that everyone believes ALL Swedish folks have blond hair and blue eyes like Dolph Lundgren. so with that said I guess another giveaway would be if that person says they are from Sweden (or anywhere in Scandinavia) and automatically uses a profile pic of a blond girl that appears like some random porn actress. and like you guys said if that person also claims they know nothing else about Sweden then I guess there is no point in arguing that person may not be a catfish

That's a good question, but I think you've pretty much answered it. If a person has stunning photos, but when they speak awkwardly and lack confidence, that merits doubt on your part. It *could* be that they're just shy, but... yeah. If it doesn't feel right, then it's probably not...

Just pay attention in how some people who present themselves with hot girls pics chat and show their "interests" in life, their sexual needs (usually something weird and highly unusual, like "women" talking about how they like to "swallow", wtf?). Even stranger is how much people believe they are "lucky" for finding a person who is a catfish!

C'mon guys! It's not normal to see hot women fishing for attention out of places like instagram or snapchat. Even worse: talking about extreme sexual stuff. Well, it's obvious to anyone who dated real women, but I can't understand people on internet sometimes.

I can't speak for guys but i've gotten pretty good at spotting catfish. the biggest tipoff to me is when they have just 1 photo. Most catfishers are lazy yes they steal a pic from some sight with attractive women. and usually only have that one. it take more work to come up with multiple pics of the same woman time they don't want to put in. Next look at their profile. if she looks 25 and is listed as 45... common sense people. Next they usually swap out pics to the same account and don't take the time to make changes i. e. they have a pic of a caucasian girl but have race listed as black in the profile eye and hair color is usually wrong to. most the time i assume these are guys just messing with guy online daters. sometimes a (sorry! ugly woman) fed up with the lack of attention from guys.
