I don't mind being barefoot personally, there's a lot of cute summer shoes XD Only when France play I'm forced to do internship all summer if not I won't get paid and on the weeks I have free (for searching a new internship) I play a bit of video games but I would surely not do anything special this summer.

I often go barefoot in the summer because it gets SO hot, but I haven't been doing it lately, because I saw several centipedes in my home, and one night I went to the kitchen barefoot, and there was a centipede and it started coming toward me so fast I literally jumped and screamed like a little girl. And this is the one that got away, so I don't know what happened to it. I don't even leave my slippers on the floor at night anymore. Because those things can do some serious damage if they bite you. Oh, women's cup? I don't watch that, but I've been following the scores of the US team. Did you watch the Under 20? France did pretty well in that. I've been watching the North American Cup. OMG! AGAIN? You just did one. What is it THIS time? I had an interview for a position with state parks, they're supposed to get back to me before next Monday, but I don't have such a good feeling about this. I would basically just be sitting in the entrance booth selling park's passes. It's an easy job too, and doesn't require driving, so it would be perfect for me. And I don't know if I told you that I've been working at some museums for free. It got me all the necessary experience needed for the park's position, so it would be so unfair if I didn't get it.

I don't watch this one Normally I only have the right to have 1 weeks for searching a new internship but who can find an internship in only 1 week? Especially to know they demand us to bring back all paper / internship contract 1 week before we start. So we're forced to stay minimum 2 weeks without doing anything. It been like 2 weeks I'm searching for a new internship and I think I would only be able to start a new one in July (I still I didn't find one). If we stay 1 months without doing anything we aren't getting paid. Yes you told me. That would really suck if you don't get the job. I really hope you get it :)

Yeah, EXACTLY! And some of them are dangerous. The office at my work is full of spiders. I tried to kill one and it wouldn't die. And these are the ones that jump on you. ONE WEEK? Are you SERIOUS? What can you find in one week? Why didn't they just keep you at town hall? What the hell? That's so stupid! Thank you. I hope I do too. It's been a year and a half, and it's not like I haven't been trying. I'm not even going to the job placement centers anymore, because they really pissed me off. Scary Yes they expect us to find a new internship in only 1 week, those people are so stupid. In France, the longer a townhall keep you the more they have to pay you, like if they give you 1000 euros for your first months, 6 months after they would have to give you 1010 euros and they don't want to so they prefer hiring new people all the time so that they can pay them less. Is it and if we don't have a internship they harass us with calls and text. Personally I don't respond but if I continue like this they would surely not pay me. Thanks :) This is like this only because I'm in something special called "Garantie jeunes" basically they pay you around 470 euros per months for doing internship (35 hours a weeks) and in between each internship you can only have 1 weeks before starting another.

It's the same here I know what you mean, and they only offer you shitty jobs I don't know if I told you about when I went to apply for the cannery. De rien :) My mom kind of pissed me, because first she said,. "It's good that you put on your application that you work for no pay, because they will think you have good work ethic." "Now she keeps saying, "Why did you tell them that?" LOL. That's why I don't like giving her details or asking for advice, and she's also mad because she wanted me in the visitor center or an office job. She thinks I can get a better job with my degree, but I don't know why she wants me to have an office job so badly. I don't want an office job. I applied to like 20 office jobs, and they didn't call me. Oh so the internship DOES pay you? At least some of them? This system is so strange to me, but here you have to work for a few months, I think minimum 4, before you qualify for unemployment. I think you told me in France it's 6.

I think some of them are owned by the County though. Here it's usually 6. I think you can get it sooner, but you won't get as much money. Also, you only get it if they fire you.

True. In France all of them are owned by the government so In France you can only get it if you're fired but only if you're fired for economical reasons if you're fired for fault you won't get anything.
