This MyTake will be my commentary and view of CamGirls. CamGirls are mostly young women who exploit their sexuality because of mental illness, financial uncertainty, and/or a need for validation. They produce videos for "Fans" who pay them money to do sex acts on camera.
Everyone involved in this process is guilty of exploiting women and sexuality. This shady Industry is also guilty of sex trafficking and prostitution.They often try to disguise the nefarious nature of this industry by using euphemisms to describe aspects of this. One example is that the women who are being exploited are often called "Models." This MyTake will also explain and expose the CamGirl Industry and its negative societal effects.
Its important to define what prostitution and sex trafficking are.
PIMP: a man who controls prostitutes and arranges clients for them, taking part of their earnings in return.
SEX TRAFFICKING: Sex trafficking is human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, including sexual slavery. A victim is forced, in one of a variety of ways, into a situation of dependency on their trafficker and then used by said trafficker to give sexual services to customers.
PROSTITUTION:
the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment.
THE PIMP
The Pimp, in this situation is the CamGirl website. I dont want to give them any traffic or exposure so I won't name the websites in this MyTake but there are quite a few. The Website provides the girls with a platform, server, and customers to exploit the girls vulnerable state. For every payment the "model" receives the server takes a huge percentage off of the top. Then the 3rd party payment processor also takes about 10% of the revenue.
The websites created a referral program where they would give "bonuses" to models who referred other girls to sign up for their website. This referral system encouraged models, to convince or coerce more girls to sign up for exploitation. Now they are using their "models" to recruit more girls to be sexually exploited. By doing this they can increase their revenue, without having to actively search for them. Its a vicious cycle, which preys on vulnerable women.
THE MODEL
The Model is the primary person being exploited in this industry. They are the ones who have to live with negative consequences of online prostitution. The models who sign up for these websites often deal with mental illness, drug/alcohol abuse, and lack meaningful relationships in their personal lives. Prostitution in the USA is illegal in every State, except a few counties within Nevada. How the USA allows these women to prostitute themselves on camera shows a failure of our society to recognize that its Citizens are being Pimp'd. The US government also places little to no regulation on the websites themselves. The models have 0 protection from the government and the websites are not concerned with their well being. There have also been reports that underage girls have been taken advantage of and their videos posted on various websites.
THE CUSTOMER
The Customer base is almost entirely male. In the United States 9/10 boys will be exposed to porn before the age of 13. Porn is highly addictive and leads to young men developing perverse sexual fetishes. Pornography also isolates young men and keeps them from seeking real intimate relationships with young women. The CamGirl websites allows for men to feel like they are having a connection with the girl they are paying to do sex acts. This dysfunctional connection creates a reliable customer base for the model and exploits the man's dysfunctional sexual behavior. It gets him hooked, and he will continue to pour money into this industry. The Customer's sexual perversion is the root of this industry. If men were to overcome their porn addiction and value women as more than just sexual objects, the industry would die.
THE IMPACT
In our society if you don't believe pornography exploits women you will be scrutinized for being a woman's right to express or profit from her sexuality. The exploitation and prostitution makes young women seem more and more like objects with set prices. This nefarious industry is being pushed onto girls constantly, its being glamorized, and promoted as a legitimate way to make money. Its as if the industry is convincing the young women that they were already products waiting to be purchased in the first place. Women in any civilized nation should not be subjected to prostitution of any kind. No matter how lucrative lust can be.
CamGirls usually end up relying on their following for validation, relying on drugs or alcohol, or worsening their mental illness. Pornography was normalized over the last 50 years, and it has had a negative impact on our sexuality. This CamGirl culture, is taking pornography to the next level by pimping out a multitude of women and normalizing prostitution.
HOW TO STOP THE EXPLOITATION OF WOMEN
The first step to stopping this exploitation is to prevent young men from becoming addicted to pornography. This will prevent the client base from becoming any larger and it will prevent young men from becoming sexually perverted.
The second step is protecting our women. Women shouldn't feel the need to exploit their sexuality for any purpose. Especially not financial. We need to empower our women, by teaching them to safe-guard their sexuality from perverted and abusive men. Let the women in your family and among your friends know that they are cared for and supported.
The third step is to bring awareness to this giant sex trafficking ring. Talk about the harm this industry causes to young men and women, with your family and friends and speak out against the exploitation of women.
The fourth step is making state and local legislators aware of this problem and encouraging them to pass restrictions on pornographic websites or CamGirl websites.

1 2I love this article you wrote! Guys need to stop blaming girls, and vice versa. Both sides are to blame, because nothing is going to get fixed. Males = consumers, females = producers. The state needs to ban online porn, honestly, because people aren't going to police or control themselves. The people saying it's the individual that should be controlling themselves, are selfish and don't care for the good of society. You live with these people! Your children go to school with them. If you want a weak society, porn is going to weaken it. Plus our birth rate is going down and no one wants kids because they want to live the pornstar, swinger lifestyle...

The last point, I would take even further and say its a homosexual lifestyle thats being promoted. Yes I agree on the homosexuality part. It's seen as edgy, but not anymore, just the norm. Just like tattoos or piercings. I think it will reverse, like now being modest could be "edgy".

Women have been brainwashed to embrace exploitation under the guise of "Liberation" or "empowerment" its crazy man I want to write a MyTake about the actual owners of these websites...
would be an interesting read, the owners create platforms where it's psychology is that idea of being able to break the feminist laws in SECRET (because it's dangerous) that's what women crave as nonconsensual sex has been taken away from them. At the same time they educate people on the laws that feminists made so in effect create an environment for anonymous bloggers to attack men and cry victim of abuse. I realised that these people are doing it to gain sympathy followers, and have absolutely no care for the real victims who would never exploit their trauma that way.

Hey man some girls just want easy money and whats easier then taking your clothes off and masterbating? Also if men weren't such simps nowadays and didn't pay cam girls to get naked they would stop camming. But the amount of single men who aren't the top 20% in their teens and 20's may not have had a real relationship yet and we got our urdges right? Well unlike pics and videos, cam girls are live and talk to you (sometimes). That alone might be more interaction with a girl then they might have ever had before. And when the price to get her naked is about equal or less then the cost of the average date then i can see how it could be appealing. I personally would never pay for porn but thats just me.
It stems from the culture which makes young men isolated! I agree completely. The root of the problem is young men, increased loneliness, and lack of healthy socialization between boys and girls.
Its not young mens fault they aren't popular, aren't from a well of family, aren't good at sports etc. It's an uncontrollable way girls work and only go for the top 10-20% if anything it's womens faults since they are the ones who ignore those they perceive to have less value.
I think thats a fair point. But I think its important to have some self-accountability. I think its better to realize the problem, see it, and do what we, as individuals can do to remove ourselves from that system. We can't get nihilistic and feel damned because we might fall into that bottom 80% but I dont think paying cam girls is helping our situation as young men. Thanks for keeping it real though.
