Correct terminology when talking about Sex

When talking about sex, we tend to use common terms, some of which may be considered as lewd or inappropriate. In some situations, it's important to use the correct medical terminology, for example, when you're talking with your doctor.

So, here are some commonly-used sex terms and their correct medical terms, as well as a description of each term.

Female Body Parts:

Vagina vs Cunt - an elastic, muscular canal located between a female's legs with a soft, flexible lining that provides lubrication and sensation. The vagina connects the uterus to the outside world. The vulva and labia form the entrance, and the cervix of the uterus protrudes into the vagina, forming the interior end.

Breasts vs Boobs - the overlying the chest (pectoral) muscles. Women's breasts are made of specialized tissue that produces milk (glandular tissue) as well as fatty tissue

Nipples vs Tits - the pigmented projection on the surface of the female breast. In the mature female, ducts that conduct milk from the mammary glands to the surface of the breast exit through the nipple. The flat area of pigmentation around the nipple is the areola.

Male Body Parts:

Penis vs Cock or Dick - an external male organ, located between his legs, that provides semen during intercourse as well as the duct for urination. The penis is typically flaccid (soft) and becomes erect (hard) when stimulated.

Scrotum vs Ball Sack - the pouch at the base of the penis that contains the testicles

Testicles vs Balls - the male reproductive gland, where semen is produced. Typically, there are two walnut-sized testicles in the scrotum, most often of slightly different sizes.

Semen vs Cum or Jism - the organic fluid ejaculated from the male reproductive tract that contains sperm cells

Ejaculation vs Cumming - the spasmodic release of semen from the tip of the penis

Sexual Activities:

Cunnilingus vs Eating Pussy - the oral stimulation of a female's genital area by her partner's lips and tongue, sometimes accompanied by finger insertion into the vagina

Fellatio vs Blow Job - the oral stimulation of a male's penis by his partner's mouth, lips and tongue, sometimes accompanied by hand stroking the penile shaft

Intercourse vs Fucking - the act of penis insertion back and forth in the vagina that typically leads to ejaculation of sperm into the vagina

Coitus Interruptus vs Pulling Out - withdrawing the penis from the vagina before ejaculation, typically resulting in ejaculation outside the vagina or on another part of the female body

Russian vs Tit Fuck - the act of inserting the male penis into the cleavage area between a female's breasts, often accompanied by ejaculation

  • OK, but in times of passion the medical or technical terms can be "out of place" or passion killers. EACH couple has to find their OWN LANGUAGE! IN 1977, when I was 30, I was picked up by a 45 year old woman that had several men (besides her husband with his permission) to satisfy her "more kinky high libido needs". Here is the point. She used the most direct and dirty language possible. HER words STUNNED a naive and inexperienced man into WILLING COMPLIANCE with her desires. The INSTANT I HEARD them, I WANTED to DO what she commanded. I had to first agree that I COULD do "THAT' for her and then literally ask permission to provide that "service" for her. IF my request was "NOT DIRTY ENOUGH", I had to start over. I had to learn to "talk dirty" in my begging. So, for US the most DIRECT & DIRTY words were the MOST EROTIC!

  • Masturbation vs ‘wank’: The act of sexually stimulating one self to orgasm.

When you’re talking to your doctor of how you got your ***** stuck in a realistic ***** toy while looking at ***** and wearing *******, be sure to use the right terminology.

  • A common name for vagina here translates into hairy pudding bowl another into furrow in a field. It's amazing how we automatically know what people are talking about even if we've never heard the term before.

Not sure I want some guy saying "I desire rapid line oscillation of my penis within your vaginal canal"

    • @purplepoppy You really don't think that line is HOT HOT HOT? It's so specific what the guy wants to do. You'd rather hear him say "Let's F&%K!"?

  • Vulva should be included in the first one. The vagina is only the internal part. A lot of times people say vagina but they really mean vulva.

    • My neighbor drives a Vulva.. or was it a Volvo?

  • Holy terminal velocity there, @AviatorTom!!! You dang almost eliminate ALL the fun of having sexual relations to discuss at the water fountain the next day!!!

  • good MyTake It clears up a lot of misconceptions.

  • Thank you. Let's not forget the clitoris. Much more than just "the bud", it's a wishbone-shaped entity which frames the anterior and lateral edges of the vagina.

  • sex, what do u think? some people take life too seriously, call it wtf u want

  • Yeah, except if I get to announcing my inevitable climax and shout “I’m ejaculationing! Shall I Coitus Interruptus?”, it’s going to ruin the moment.

  • Thanks for the glossary

  • Good take

  • Oh ok I get it now. Lmao 🤣😂

  • It's a good mytake. Thnx
