The argument given by men and some women is that men have emotions and women don't care about them. Yet men act callus about women's emotions, don't go to therapy, aren't religious, and admire men like Elon Musk who are clearly narcissistic.

Historically, men have been at a biological disadvantage to have emotions. They could get in the way in battle. The could distract them on the farm or on the hunt.

Nowadays, men use porn to foster a healthy narcissism. If the content isn't satisfactorily demeaning, they move on to more demeaning porn, up until the point the practice is illegal. Only rich men are allowed to see that, and so men often lament that they're not rich.

The argument "Not all men" is often used to give men human-like qualities, or by misguided but well-meaning women who instinctively see men as babies that need adopting. The man lures you in with the sentiment of emotion, only to strike in cold narcissism.

Divorce rape is something to be prepared for. Sometimes men will marry you, only to steal 100% of your best years and upgrade to a younger model. The courts don't ever go after the men at fault and reward back the missing years.

I support men, as a people, and want to see them thrive, as a people. I'm just saying, give them their own land where they can deep fist each other in peace. And as a people, leave women to our Pilates and tea parties.

  • I have written so much about this. But here we go, men and women emote differently. Just because a guy doesn't emote the way some people would accept as "normal" (this is biological not psychological) doesn't mean that they don't feel. Alao as men react differently to emotional distress they have relating to how women emote. Also as women excrete a hormon in their tears that actually calms men (only women have this) it also creates a odd situation for men.

    Im not sure where this porn-narcisism came from but I would love to see the study that backs it. I am not sure about this porn progression idea as I have never seen this.

    Rape is not gendered both men and women rape and are raped. According to the CDC the occurrences happen to both genders at about the same rate. (If you include rape by envelopment or forced to penetrate) As for divorce, the majority of divorces are initiated by women and family courts are notoriously bias against men.

    As for separate but equal. There have been a few studies that suggest that women have issues actually doing. That all female societies have a tendency to stagnate.

  • I love how you mentioned "divorce rape" without mentioning that it's overwhelmingly men who are divorce raped in court. You also accuse men of trading in their wives for a younger model, but didn't mention that it's women who initiate divorce nearly 80% of the time. It's not husbands abandoning wives that's the epidemic, but rather wives leaving husbands, and cashing out in the process.

    Men are not perfect, for sure, and men can be lousy at communicating, which is a serious flaw, but in this rant, you are completely ignoring women's role and responsibility in all this. No one is going to take you seriously as a result.

    I have some serious problems with Elon on a more personal level (being involved with Amber Heard, the toxic liar/abuser/gold digger/narcissist, and some of the things he does with Tesla), but people who admire him do so because he has accomplished a number of things that everyone said was impossible, and not only got them done, but made them profitable. Despite his flaws, those are massive achievements that are worthy of praise.

    • To be fair, women initiating divorce is not that strong an argument for where you were going. Remember that right to divorce is a feminist issue, and it’s women who fought for it.

    • @PenkWing Okay, but here's the thing: marriage has always benefitted women more than men, and that's even more true today. But when (most) women have made marriage an almost certain losing proposition for men, they can't be shocked when men decide they're no longer going to participate. If you're selling a car that has a market value of $20,000, you MIGHT get $21-22,000 for it if it's in exceptionally good condition or otherwise represents a better-than-average value, but you aren't going to get $150,000 for it from anyone, unless you just happen to stumble across a wealthy moron who is desperate - which is a very unlikely combination. Nor will you get anything close to the $20,000 average price if the example you're selling has crazy high mileage, terrible paint, body rust, or the engine won't run. People aren't going to trade high levels of value for low or no value. In the vast majority of cases, the best you're going to get is about the same value as you are able to provide to the other person - and THEY get to decide what your value is to them, just as you get to decide what their value is to you. If you set your price too high, you won't have any interested buyers - and the ease in which women are able to divorce and financially rape men (and also keep the kids, deny visitation, etc.) has made marriage a super low value for men today. Just as it was women who demanded the right to divorce, it's going to be up to women to change the laws and regulations to balance things back out again, because if men try to do it, women will reject it simply on the basis that it's a man trying to initiate the change.

    • Nah, man, it’s really tough to agree with with this. Marriage is only for the benefit of women in a world where the only access women get to stability is by getting married to a man. That’s historically what marriage is about. It’s less true today because more women have the means to be independent, but it’s still part of the deal. This means that men have the upper hand in the deal, in general, because they don’t need to get married to get stability. Talking big numbers, individual cases may vary, and these days it’s more common for marriages to have different power balances. But in general men still are in a position of greater power. I’m not sure I understand your reasoning: you say that marriage is lower value for men, but then go on to talk about men who decide to marry anyway (even if it’s not a good deal for them) but are not fully committed or decide to divorce. If men are aware of the risk why don’t they just stay single?
