Why don't men admit to having a fat fetish (particularly black men)?

when I use to live in a neighborhood with a lot of black people I was 5'8" 208. I have no reason to lie about my weight and I do look overweight. But I noticed that its mainly black men even the skinny and athletic ones who give me their number. Im not attracted to black men. Im black and white. I just want to know why men don't admit to liking big women Im 186 now. And im not sure I think men don't understand fashion. I dress like my size. Im not sure

  • I'm not sure people will broadcast what it is they like a lot of times. Men will like many things about women and just leave it at that and don't have to make it known. Unless you're talking about men who give you their number and then they hide you from the world and don't want to be seen with you. I don't think it has anything to do with weight. My boyfriend is with me for all the things I am, and I am overweight. He has told me he loves my body, but he doesn't make it known to the world that my body is what he's attracted to as opposed to skinny women. It just is what it is.

I guess it's just that a lot of men say oh I like a girl who is in shape but even though I'm not attracted to these guys they always come at me and I have to beat them off with a bat. my way it also makes my breast bigger but on the outside there is no denying that I am overweight

    • I'm overweight too, but I have only heard my boyfriend tell me he prefers my body type. A guy isn't going to hook up with me and say, "I'm in to skinny women," otherwise why would he be with me and not them? Men like what they like. There is a stigma attached to bigger women I suppose, that is something not many men want to admit to, maybe thinking they'll be made fun of. But I see that less and less now. Bigger women are getting more respect because really... there are more of us around now, what are they going to do? Big women includes our big breasts, and our advantage in the kitchen. ;) Men like both of those perks.

  • @twelveangrymen The word fetish isn't the right terminology for this situation. I totally get what your saying though. Black men are notorious for liking curvy women. If you're BBW, then I don't see why most men wouldn't find you attractive. Anyways, maybe men are afraid of being judge because of liking larger ladies? Considering it isn't societies ideal image of beauty.

  • Personally I prefer women with a bit of padding. I like cuddling up under the blankets and it's good having something to cuddle up to. I like the comfort of a soft hug. I'm not black.

    I love boobs, asses and pot bellies. But having said I love padding, being obese is not good. It's unhealthy and definitely bad in the bedroom. For a woman of your height I'd say anything under 210 would be fine for me as long as you were active and healthy.

  • I can't see much correlation between race and being attractive to larger women.

    It's a long shot, but the one possible explanation is:
    Larger women, at least those with larger hips and copious reserves of fat deposits, were considered more attractive in the earlier days of man since food was rare and they were more likely to survive droughts (fat men were attractive since it was seen as a sign of opulence). The practice lasted longer in Africa since it did not really evolve much socially (owing, primarily, to geographical considerations). Which is why feeding camps etc continue to exist in Africa. And since black people are originally from Africa, that may serve as some reasoning. 200 years in North America should have changed social conditioning though but maybe it takes longer.
    Anyway, this is a lot of speculation aqend may just be complete bs.

  • The guy that likes fat girls is a comedy trope. He's a joke character. As much as I keep hearing from people that there are guys out there that like fat girls, and this and that, I have yet to meet a guy that would hit on a fat girl. Never has happened.
