If so, why? As a girl who gets turned on by being spanked, I'm all for it, but it seems like it's an act to give more pleasure to the one being spanked as opposed to the one doing the spanking. Do guys do it just so the girl gets turned on or do they get turned on as well? I wouldn't find spanking to be a turn on, but being spanked on the other hand... Guys who like spanking do it as a form of dominance. It feels good to have a woman who is submissive enough to accept a bit of spanking. (For the guys who are into all-out bondage with handcuffs, switches, canes, etc., I think that's something different from a few slaps on her ass that I'm talking about.)

For men and women, most of it is emotional, but I remember a study about this -- it was a few years ago, and I don't remember who did it, sorry -- that said for the receiver of the spanking there can be physical arousal also, especially for women. Stimulation of the buttocks increases blood flow to that area, increasing physical arousal (not necessarily desire). Also, some of the nerves stimulated by spanking are the same as those stimulated by penetration, and spanking may turn on some women this way, as well as by mimicking the sensations she has when a guy is thrusting into her.

Anyway, for guys, it's an emotional dominance turn-on thing, and for women, an emotional submission/desirability thing, as well as possibly some physical reactions, too.
