Who should buy the condoms?

Question

I've been discussing with my boyfriend who should be buying condoms in a relationship. We agree that after a while it doesn't matter. However we haven't had sex yet, and feel like we're ready. 

I think the guy should? He thinks it's the girls responsibility. Help me settle this once and for all :)

@polskapolka I Would say the man should buy them just to be safe, because I have had a couple opportunities where I didn't have any condoms and I then panicked and messed it all up before it got that far. However if your dating it wouldn't hurt to keep a few in your purse or in your vehicle, better safe than sorry. I mean its all good to be getting down and dirty but I don't want an unplanned pregnancy or an STD especially not for my first time having sex. Lots of infected people with the clamp around here and whatever else they got I don't know.

If it is a relationship then you both should take turns to buy them as it is mutually beneficial. If both genders always take the role of bringing and buying protection then less risk and easier on everyone.

I guess it all matters to who protection is more important to. Even though protection is more important to me, I think it should be the man because it is more normal, but I can't even by tampons, underwear without being embarrassed. Lol. So I have to find ways to get condoms haha.

the only thing i worry about is getting the wrong size or something.. i dont mind buying condoms.. i actually told the guy he must ask me to buy if some if he runs out and he was like " i could never ask you to do that" but its for him and i so i dont mind

If you're sexually active, you should always have condoms around regardless of gender. But, I think he should be the one to buy them in your case.

If the girl is on the pill, the guy should buy the condoms. Being on the pill is kind of expensive, so I think it would only be fair from a financial standpoint.
Otherwise, the both of them should buy condoms if the girl isn't on the pill.

50/50 equal responsibility. His attitude that condoms are your responsibility only is disturbing. It is like he doesn't accept any responsibility for his actions. Being you are under 18 I think he just has some growing up and maturing to do, but watch out for this guy!

You mean the because of the cost or that you are too chicken to buy them? Split the cost for sure as they aren't cheap. And if you are buying them in stores, trade off. My preference is online. Cheapest bulk pack of condoms you will find is on amazon.

Aslong as they are there it's fine. Here we can order condoms for free so you get them in the mailbox, that's what I do. I don't pay and they are good quality condoms.
