Why is more socially acceptable for girls to use sex toys like dildos, than it is for a guy to have sex toys like a flesh light?

if girls find out that a guy has a sex toy, like a flesh light (A fake vagina that the guy can fuck) they view him as desperate and unable to get a girlfriend. However, its perfectly fine for girls to have a dildo, which is the exact same thing - a fake penis which they use to fuck themselves. How is it any different? what is your view?

  • I think it has to do with the fact that all women can easily have sex with men, so if they choose not to and use a dildo instead, who cares. If a guy has to use a sex toy because he can't get a girl, he may be a bit desperate.
