Why do guys masturbate with lotion?

  • I guess as lubricant? I never had to cause I have loads of skin (I recently found out from a gay friend when we had sex). I basically have like 50 percent of a foreskin and the penis can get like swallowed up by it when flacid. I had almost this exact question for him like "is that why I don't need lotion?" and he explained why it's that way for me and that it's guys who are circumcised that need it because they dont have a foreskin thus not such a natural penis and you NEED some lube.     • Yeah I'm gathering already from responses that it's circumcised guys who don't really have extra skin to masturbate with. I've never used lube and it's never hurt (masturbation; sex sometimes need lube like when she's having her period), only when she uses her feet on me then it's too much friction against something rough and it hurts.   • doesn't have to be lotion. Even just straight water seems to work fine. Anything that will allow frictionless slide. Ask any guy that has masturbated without some form of lube. You can feel it pretty well but after so long the friction can create raw spots and that hurts like hell

  • Lotion provides lubrication which makes it much more pleasurable and easier as opposed to doing it dry. However using lotion is entirely optional and isn't required to masturbate, just in case you were wondering.
