Sometimes when guys get a girlfriend who does have sex they just go for it as much as possible I notice to the point where it's just plain overdone. He could see it as his "only chance" so to say if he hasn't had sex in previous relationships and such.
Some guys hang around girls who have sex like crazy around your age but they tend to end up getting them pregnant. If he's hung around with prudes and stumbled upon you having sex with him he may very well be making the best of it while being inconsiderate at the same time.

He has probably hit is peak... it should drop off around the 23-24 mark. Unfortunately men's peak and women's peak sex drives don't match up. So that's probably why your finding it a little too much. The shoe will be on his foot in about 5-6 years when you go through the same thing. Your sex drive will likely peak when your about 29-30.
