Sexual Health My boyfriend always jokes about me being pregnant, why?

I recently started dating this guy, who's a friend of friends I've known for about a year. We have been seeing each other for 2 months 2-4 times a week and yesterday, he asked me to be his girlfriend officially. We were both coming out of serious relationships when we first met. While we were dating, he told me about being scared of wasting his time having another serious relationship with the wrong girl and told me of his anxiety about finally turning 30 and not having settled down yet. Finally, he admitted he fell in love with me despite avoiding it and wants us to be together. We had a great communication and complicity from the start and are just generally a wonderful character fit, not to mention we have the best sex I've ever experienced. The thing is, ever since we started sleeping together, he often jokes about me being pregnant. He tells me to eat enough to feed his kids (supposedly twins) and often rubs my belly asking me how they are growing. When we see children, he mentions how he'd be a good father. I showed him a korean tv reality show about cute triplet babies and he now watches it by himself, repeating over and over how cute they are and how I should make him some korean babies (we are both white). We have unprotected sex but he always pulls out on time and wears a condom in situations where he is not fully in control (for example if he'll come when I'm on top). I want children and made it clear to him after a few dates. I'm 28 and my clock is starting to tick. Does it sound like he could be serious about wanting children with me, or is that just something guys sometimes joke about (none of my exes, one of whom I dated 7 years, ever did). I'm aware we have only been dating for a short time and we should wait, but I'm almost hoping for a happy accident? I just giggle or joke along when he says these things, because I don't want to scare him away by seriously asking him. What do you guys think?

I forgot to mention that he's a very sarcastic person in general, so joking and making outrageous comments about all kinds of stuff is really usual for him.
