Why do women like to have their hair pulled during sex?

Isn't is JUST painful? I can understand spanking, but hair pulling?

  • Biologically, it's easy: pain like that causes a release of endorphins, which in turn can release sex-related hormones. Why is that any harder to understand than liking spanking? "Just pain" releases hormones, and if the overall balance is right, that can be enjoyable.

    I'm male and haven't tried either, but yes, a certain amount pain can be a turn on. I don't know how common that is, but the reason some people enjoy it is quite straightforward. If hair pulling or spanking have that effect, you'd probably find discovering you're sitting on a lego brick would do too!
