How many sexual partners does the average college/high school girl have?

Question

So basically I read a survey that said that the average number of sexual partners a girl has in college was a number that I thought was lower than what I thought (for no particular reason I thought this).

Also a girl I know who goes to a university in my city told me that she's only slept with one person since starting university (not in a relationship with) but she had a few more partners than that when she was in high school.

So I was wondering how many sexual partners you had in (a) high school? and (b) college?

My thoughts were that girls would have a higher number on average than guys, and I'm just basing that on the fact that it is a lot easier for a girl to find a one night stand than it is for your regular joe. But that's just my opinion!

Freshman in college, have had sex with zero people. I've done sexual things with a couple, but actual sex, not at all.

Of my female friends, I am the only virgin. A couple have only had sex with one guy but most have had sex with 2-3, one has had sex with probably 6-7. And she's pregnant now so... yeah kids that doesn't usually turn out too great

College is often more social experiment than educational opportunity. I believe that you need both to be a productive citizen, but I rarely dated a woman in my senior year who had had less than about 7-10 guys ahead of me. Me? I had total of 3—but, then, I thought I was there to learn books!

Girls won't tell you the real number of guys they've been with I love to call a lesser number than the guy their with either to boost his ego or just not feel like a slut...
