  • It can happen if you have a blackout. And no you do not have to be unconscious or asleep. With a blackout you can be awake the entire time but remember nothing at all.

If it's a full blackout you won't remember the entire night. You might only remember starting to party, like taking your first drink, but remember nothing after that. With a partial blackout you might remember part of the night, but there will parts that are totally gone. It could be a few hours or it could be the entire night.

A blackout is a complete blank, as if the night never even happened. It's just gone.

    • I thought of another thing to add. With a blackout, it erases things BEFORE you got drunk enough to have a blackout. You might only remember your first drink, but that's not enough to cause a blackout. The blackout happened later, but causes you to forget everything that led up to it. The point I want to make is that it's quite possible that you had sex, but at the time you had it you weren't even drunk. The drunk could happen later, but erase everything before that. You could be talking to people, having fun, and not even be drunk, but not remember it. Your friends might not have realized you were so drunk, because you might not have been.

  • Yes its possible, yes it happened to me, passing out without the sex.
I dont remember a thing, I just woke up home and dont remember anything that happened, not even getting a ride back home by my friend.
Its crazy but yea, it can happen. Did it happen to u

  • Yes. That's called being blackout drunk. You have no recollection of the events of the day or night before after a certain period. It's actually quite scary. I got blackout drunk first the first time when I was in college. I remember drinking up to a certain point, then waking up in my room with no idea how I got there. It's safe to say that I had a drinking problem back then.

  • Yes but to be honest if you were so drunk you don't remember it you were likely too drunk to consent... if both people were equally tanked it's a case of drunk sex that probably shouldn't have happened... if one was less drunk than the other that is sexual assault.

  • Yes, people black out all the time. BUT, you might remember it later on if triggered by something.

  • It's called a black out. It's entirely possible. If you black out often, then it's a sign of alcoholism.

    • Or epilepsy

  • The act is irrelevant. You could murder your mother and not remember. When you consume enough alcohol, your brain literaly stops recording memories. It's not like you're suppressing anything-there are no memories at all.

  • Happens and colleges and bars all the time.

  • You would know something happen and will be able to put one and two together

  • yep... it's called a black out

  • For me I can't since the more I drink. the sleepier I feel and after a point I just pass out asleep for a couple of hours.

  • I've never had, The girl is always the one to get drunk and I don't take advantage of that.. even if they are begging me.

  • It happens but not to me

  • Yes. It's happened to me a couples times in my life. It's not a nice feeling that's for sure.

    • Agreed:(

  • Absotively. One night, two brothers, a case of beer and a bottle of klonopin. Nuff said.

    Don't try that home kids

    • I only found out because I read text messages I sent him that night after my dad picked me up about regretting what happened. I had no memory if having sex or sending those texts in the morning. It ruined our friendship.

  • If this happens then you have a drinking problem. No question about it lol. I've been very drunk before but I'd always remember if I slept with someone, at least enough to know it happened. Maybe not every detail.

  • Unless you are totally passed out, I find it hard to believe you can't remember it!

  • Yes and also stoned.

  • I've never had total memory loss from drinking but I have had it from xanax, so I assume it's possible for some people if they drink enough.

  • no unless the person is unconscious

  • yes/

  • I suppose you would really have to be hammered for that to happen. I'm very certain that if I had sex with someone, I'd remember it - no matter how drunk I was.

  • You would have to be very very very very very drunk for "blackouts" to happen.

  • Yes. Especially women, as for most men that much alcohol inhibits the ability to function.

  • you can... but hadn't that happen personally. at least I can't remember it ;P
