It ALWAYS hurts when I have sex?

Ever since I became sexually active it has hurt to have sex. Ever since I lost my virginity. Which was 4 years ago. I keep having sex hoping it'll be different but it never is. Sometimes it hurts less and I can enjoy it, but it still always hurts. Just at different levels.

  • Do you think you have vaginismus? Here's some information about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaginismus

Or... maybe you're not relaxed when you have sex? Maybe your partners have been really big?

I'd definitely bring this up with a doctor/gynecologist.

    • I've honestly never been to a gynecologist

    • I've been checked for STIs. But it wasn't a gynecologist. It was just the resident doctor at the hospital. I live in a really small town. 😒. I'd have to drive about an hour to go to the gynecologist.

  • Hmm... I'll answer, but I need to know
    1. Where does it hurt?
    2. Have you been checked for STI's?
    3. Have you tried lube?

These answers will help me give you the most helpful answer.

    • I didn't have any STIs last time I was checked which wasn't that long ago. It pretty much hurts everywhere. And I do use lube. It doesn't really help.

    • And like everyone else said, visit your doctor. But I will add, don't be afraid to vocalize during sex with your partner, go slower and try different positions. Also, make sure that you aren't stressed before sex. And try to drink more water , exercise and eat better if you still think it might be endometriosis. I know, people will say that you need a doctor, and you do, but this will help.

  • You could have endometriosis, a tilted uterus, all kinds of stuff that could be making that happen. I would ask your doctor about it. Pain every time is not normal.

  • You might not be wet enough.
You might be too nervous. A lot of girls can be extremely tight if they're nervous, but once they get more comfortable, they 'loosen up'.

    Otherwise I don't know.

  • you're probably not wet enough. have you tried lubes?
