Untrue. What matters is your self-control and your ability to get hard for literally hours at a time. OP, think about it like this: The Porn Industry is a job. You have certain requirements and probationary periods to be accepted into that job. It is also a lot of work, much of which is anathema to the usual Western cultural mindset. You are going to have men and women watching you have sex for hours each day -- directors, makeup techs, lighting techs, cameramen, etc. You are also going to need to be able to maintain an erection for long periods of time, to hold it as you take directions from the director of the shoot, to push past the invasiveness of having a camera 6 inches from your taint, or whatever the scene requires of you. Always remember, its just a job. And not a very stable one, either, not even for men.

The industry is run by people who treat the talent as commodities to be exploited ruthlessly and then discarded after the life essence has been sucked from them. I quit because the owner of the enterprise wanted performers to engage in unprotected sex, without exchanging blood test certificates first. Even test certificates cannot be trusted, because in the USA there is a thriving industry in fake certificates. The money is crap. Almost nobody makes a living out of doing porn. The females use porn as a way to promote themselves, then they go on the strip club circuit. The punters will pay for a private performance with a stripper who they have seen in porn. Fairly often, that private performance will turn into an attempted rape. The day will come when the girl will decide that she wants to leave that phase of her life, but she will not be able to escape it. Porn in which she appears will be on the net forever. One video is one too many. It will be on the internet forever. I will give you an example. One of the performers with whom I worked was a university student. Turned out she was studying primary education. She got a job as a primary school teacher, until one of her year seven boys found one of the videos on a porn site.
