Should I buy condoms even though I'm a virgin and doubt that I'll get laid anytime soon?

On the one hand I feel if some miracle happens then it would be great to have but on the other hand I feel like it would be a waste of money since I don't have a girl to sleep with. Gagers what are your thoughts?

  • Okay, let me give you the story but don't tell anyone. I don't want anyone else to know about this.
    Just kidding

Until I was almost 19 I practically did not know what a girl was. Never kissed, hugged, held hand or anything. And above all real shy.

Then things changed in a matter of months. More confident, more talkative and girl began to find me interesting. Before I knew it I was in bed with a girl. I was happy to finally have sex... If wasn't for that damn condom I didn't have. I didn't have one because deep down I still had that mindset that I would never have a girl.

The moral of the story is, buy condoms before YOU have to tell someone that same story. :)

  • It is always good to have one just in case. One day when you least suspect it the right girl may enter your life and want sex with you. I think it is great that you are thinking about birth control... better safe than sorry... you don't want to be a daddy the first time!

  • Always Be Prepared for One never Knows how it Goes.
A Single condom tin your wallet hat can be purchased at any bodega, is far Cheaper than a One night stand that could end up a Big Mistake for Perhaps... The Rest of your Life.
    Good luck. xx

  • Wait until you've got a potential interest, then buy your condoms. This way you won't need to waste money replacing them if they aren't used in time, but you'll also be ready if things do get serious.

    • Don't condoms last along time? What I thought

    • @Cold_Corner I think they last for a year. Don't quote me on it. But I know that condoms do have an expiration date.

    • @ScorpioMoonChick lol I trust ya... I never let mine expire I don't buy em unless it's go time lol

  • DO it... maybe then that will give you the courage to go get some ;)

    • My only problem now is I have no idea which brand to buy. There's way too many options. I came to the store today and only one cashier was working so I decided I'll go another day.

    • Check online :) maybe that will help. Doing some research before hand then you know what to look for ;) good luck!

  • There's no harm in buying some and keeping one with you. Maybe that sounds presumptuous. However, you don't want to be without one when you need it.

  • While it's good to have them on hand, condoms do have an expiration date. Usually a year or so. If you don't see yourself getting laid before your condoms expire, you're just going to be wasting your money because you shouldn't use old condoms.

  • sure why not. always good to be prepared

  • Yes. Just buy a 3 pack. Do that every 6 to 8 months and throw the other one away. They will expire at some point. Probably a lot longer then 6-8 months but why risk it?
The first chance I had to have sex, I didn't have a condom. it was late and also Christmas eve night. so other then go looking for a 7 eleven I couldn't do anything. I was never without a condom after that. even though I didn't loose my virginity for another 8 months after that.

  • Condoms have a "shelf life", so it's most likely be an waste of money, also as an virgin what is the chances that you would want to take an part in one night stand or find one?

  • sex is a miracle, so it happens when you don't expect it, unless you're a girl, we plan that shit :)

    • lol yes. We think it is smth special.

    • If you women actually planned that shit you wouldn't get knocked up all the time by some random dude.

    • @John_Doesnt That only happens if they drink themselves to oblivion. Otherwise it's all orchestrated, and saying "it just happened" is a lie.

  • they expire after a while, i think. Or at least they degrade. I found one in the trunk of my car a while ago. It was in bad shape. The temptation is to keep one in your wallet - but the heat makes it degrade even faster.

So, maybe if you buy a new one once a month. I suppose they aren't all that expensive, but I wouldn't just get one and hold on to it until you use it, because that could end badly.

  • Get a small pack, not a big one.

  • Nothing wrong with that at all. I wanted to see what size I fit in, so I'll know in the future without buying different kinds of sizes. Awkward sometimes, because I used to work at a store, bought some, and a woman I used to talk to was there. She stared at my dick the whole time lol.

  • just pull out its just as effective.

  • go for a one night stand

  • It's better to have one and not need it then to need it and not have it.

  • If they go out of date you can use them alone and save time on the cleanup... Win- win!

  • But you should learn to put it perfectly in short time, so it's good to get experience.

  • I mean why not? You can practise for the future with a toy

  • I just don't see the point in spending the extra money for nothing.

    • The same reason why I dont buy birth control pills, cause im not sleeping with anyone, im single, I dont ahve a boyfriend or date or seeing anyone I dont see a reason why I should buy pills.

  • nothing wrong with having some condoms just in case... better safe than sorry and they don't cost much.

  • You never know when or where you will need them...

  • No, it would just lead to more temptation for you to give yourself to someone.

    • What do you mean give myself? I want to get laid.

  • Better safe then sorry
