Not all are, some are in good shape, especially newer porn.

Traditionally, the main requirements of a porn star were that they have a biggish dick, get hard reliably in extremely unsexy situations, and can fuck for as long as required before cumming on demand. Not that many guys could actually do this, and since if the guy couldn't do this, everyone was being paid to do nothing, most producers just wanted to keep using the same guys.

And they could, because the people who actually -paid- for porn (and continue to pay) were overwhelmingly male and didn't care about the guy's looks beyond it being a hard dick to screw/be sucked by the woman. For the most part they didn't initially aim for ugly guys...

The classic fat and gross guy is of course Ron Jeremy. But... he just never stopped. He actually got his start posing in playgirl. He may not have been your type as a young man, but he was seriously considered attractive enough in his youth to pose nude in a magazine aimed at women! And he got into porn... and never stopped...

Nowadays the requirements have shifted, or rather, nowadays most of the requirements are achieved via drugs. So the pool of potential guys is much bigger. But people are still not that keen to work with new male talent.

Anyway, the ultimate answer is, until women are paying for porn a lot, not just viewing it free online, it will be all made for the subset of men who actually DO pay.

Probably some women are paying, and tbh, there's probably enough porn with good looking guys to meet those requirements. There just happens to be enough of a market for porn with ugly guys it -also- gets made.

Maybe what you need is a porn tube site that does a better job of tagging videos based on the male performer.

But you know... women sort of care about this... but they care a lot about the women and their looks too. To some extent this is who porn is made for, to some extent it's the fact that for so many people, the narrative of porn is that a powerful man has sex with a desirable woman. She needs to look hot, and he has to be virile.

Porn companies have actually admitted that the reason they do this is to make male porn viewers not feel uncomfortable with their sexuality. (Like, think "omg i might be gay bc i find this guy attractive")

Because most porn is created by males for a male audience. A male audience that wants to see gross unattractive men fucking hot women. It's a fantasy. They don't want to see hot guys because it's unattainable for them to look like that.
