Affairs, worth it?

Who has had an affair? And are they worth it? Is it better to be married and have an affair or to get a divorce first?

It's not an issue for me. I love my husband and I'd nvr cheat but I've seen so many people have affairs and I was curious as to why it would be worth it

  • I've has a number of affairs. My answer depends on your circumstances. If children are involved and the marriage is stable but not sexually fulfilling, then an affair is the second choice. The first is a good couple's counselor. It's amazing how much a few sessions can improve a marriage. Here're are a few of the things I learned there and from subsequent experience:

    • Thanks for the MHG!

  • It's not worth it even if you know your spouse will never find out.

I know I couldn't live with it and if I did such a horrific act and massive breach of trust I could never live with my concience

  • U should not have sex with anyone you are not in a committed relationship with, but this is the real world and it is hard to find a decent person you can trust enough to be in a committed relationship with, much less marry. This is why everyone is a whore and sleeps around. And why there seem to be more gays.

    • So there isn't more gays because they're treated right now and not at worse killed or at least denied of families, jobs, hobbies just cus they're interested in somthing different to someone else. Is it not the free world where anyone can choose what to do. Next thing I know is you'd prefer everyone to not have sex before marriage, I know some people sleep around, but is there anythin wrong with that. It develops character in people and make them more understanding in their interested partner and gives them the opertunity explore a deeper relationship with one that they truly love rather than be like many couples around nowadays. Stories like my first love, we're going to get married and have kids together etc etc then you walk in on them cheating, this happening after marriage or years of dedication.

  • Obviously a divorce, I mean, why would you put someone else through that just because you're selfish and want to have a thrill? No one can say they truly love someone after willing cheating on them in my opinion, so a divorce is the end result anyway, might as well get there earlier.

  • My mom had an affair on my dad, but he forgave her and they are very happy, but I dont think its ever good to have an affair. Its better to get divorced first... maybe get separated first?

  • I don't get what benefits you'd get from sleeping with someone else while still married..

  • The mere fact of asking this is disgusting in my opinion. Why would it be worth it? You either stay in a relationship and be committed, or leave it first and do whatever you want.

  • you're young. why is this even an issue? get divorced.

  • It has bad consequences

  • Depends. I had one once.

  • you're trash.

  • I'd never commit or contribute to that immorality.

  • Not if you really love him

  • It probably depends on the affair

  • It's not worth it, if you are in a loving relationship or have a family with kids its not worth it, my dad had an affair and now he regrets it completely, he always tells me how at the time he was just so blinded by this women (who he is still dating now) my advice... Just don't do it it leads to so many complications...

  • I have a girlfriend and have never cheated until 2 years ago. I figure if she will never know why not. I know its bad and I feel bad after but I still do it and enjoy it x

  • Not worth it.

  • They aren't worth it :(

  • If you're unhappy then leave. If you're thinking about fucking someone else then leave. It's not that hard. Don't be stupid.
