Have you ever had sympathy sex with a guy?

Some men have an idea that, when they have been wounded and their pain is visible, some empathetic ladies would be willing, as a measure of their absolute altruism, to have sex with the distraught man as a means of providing some comfort and solace. In the common parlance, it is called a "sympathy fuck." I have never been on the receiving end of such compassion and I don't know anyone who ever admitted to getting such a benefit. Have you ladies ever offered such comfort to a man overwhelmed with grief?

Vote A = Yes, when I was a "hot mess" I DID have "sympathy sex" with certain men I used to date, was still attracted to and had previously forced myself to walk away from due to their anger and possessiveness.

THEY purposely preyed on my substance/alcohol issues at the time and got me back VERY temporarily by default.

It was ALWAYS a mistake that I knew, even while I was doing it.
Lessons well learnt.

Fuck no. I can give him a pat on the back and a hug but I'm not having sex with him, especially if we're not together.
And if we're together, I'd prefer to wait it out until he feels better. I don't want him to start crying in the middle of sex or whatever.

It's not that odd for a married (and yes adult) man to conceal his problems from his wife - witholding sex when there's something wrong could encourage him to not reveal it to you.

@Bysshe most people who are truly going through something serious that gets them down, lose their sex drive. I wouldn't be with a man who can't express his feelings. I wouldn't withhold sex to be mean, I would withhold sex until he feels like the problem has been dealt with and he can relax again. I had a friends with benefits last year. One time he was really stressed out and had a lot on his mind. He had to stop in the middle of sex because he just wasn't feeling it. I want to stop that kind of thing from happening because it's disappointing to the both of us. So we just ended up talking about what was on his mind instead. That helped a lot more than sex ever could have.

I think if any girl had sex with a misfortuned guy it would be because of experimenting, or they like control. When I say misfortuned I don't mean a guy with minor temporary ailments. Going up to a girl and complaining will only result in "Aww" and a dry spot. Or you could be like me and when she asks what happened say "Just a minor injury, nothing I can't handle"
