Why do girls call them "boobs" and guys call them "tits"?

Because girls have them, and thus they're more concerned about the breasts in their entirety- they have to suffer back pains and wear bras to stop them from sagging because of their weight, so it's the main body of the breasts, their 'boobs', which matter most to them, and so they call them 'boobs'. Men, on the other hand, only have nipples themselves, and for sexual purposes, it's the nipples which are generally the most erogenous zones, and the most erotic part of the breasts- it's the nipples, the 'tits' that matter most to them, and so they call them 'tits'.

Well, you sort of answered you own question. Looks like both words are used by both genders. I find 'boobs' having a slightly 'sweeter' tone then 'tits' which is a bit sharp and direct. To each their own.

I know women who call them tits/titties. Personally, I don't like the word, so, I don't use it. When I think of someone saying tits, I think of some rough old guy with a scruffy beard.

I like 'Breasts' as it is more natural and less course, and 'porn-like' than 'tits' or 'boobs'!!
There is a time, and place for the other words, maybe.
