Well considering we did evolve from apes (that have no qualms masturbating in public and shooting their load right on a random passer-by's face and tossing a heathly dump at them for good measure, there's viral videos of that as well) I'm actually not surprised. The average human is an easily-entertained moron, which is why the USA would be headed to hell even faster if it weren't for H1B's that the gov't uses to import people from overseas that are smarter. The top.1% (out of 7.4B total) of the IQ bell curve (the PhD's, researchers, and engineers) are the only reason we are as advanced as we are (if you want to call it advanced). To me it won't be really scary until that.1% continues to erode and hits.01%.

Not really the thing about the internet is that before it was invented these kinds of people were always around but they just stayed in their homes and made this kind of stuff their private business, nobody knew about it. And if these kinds of people did surface and do this kind of stuff for all the world to see you'd call the authorities on them.
But now it's almost like society is encouraging this kind of behavior and that is what should be scary especially since now those people have the tools they need to make their sick stuff public.
Truth be told, I don't care. I am more frustrated or terrified by people wasting time on trolling or bullying or being arrogant or being destructive, etc, because it needlessly causes pain to others. Stupid things are harmless. We're a busy hardworking bunch of people, sometimes mindless stress relief hits the spot.
