Have all straight women had a bi-curious stage?

So from what I've seen and heard from just about every woman is that at some point in their lives, they have questioned their sexuality and wanted to experiment with another girl. A female friend of mine said that when she was 15 her and another girl had sex and she said just about every girl has been bi-curious at some point in her life. So I want to get more answers from women to see if this is true.

Several independent studies have shown that around 1/3 of women have some kind of a bi-sexual phase - even if they don't actually act out on it - and that it tends to occur most frequently in their early 20s, but it can be during her teens or even late 20s or 30s. That's a high percentage, but it's no where near "all" or even "most" - it's substantially less than half. The majority (2/3 or so) of women are fully hetero or fully homosexual.

One reason these numbers seem so high is because male bi-sexuality is far more rare - with males being far more sexually binary as a rule. Male bi-sexuality runs a bit under 2% (again, excluding fully hetero or fully homosexual men). So women are bisexual more than an order of magnitude more often than men.

Keep in mind that for a woman to want to be physical with another woman is not the same as her wanting to have a relationship with her. These are two different concepts.

About 50% of women have some level of interest in being physical with a woman.
About 25% of women have had some physical contact with a woman.
About 12% of women have had lesbian sex with a woman (the percent is much higher among sorority girls).

From my personal observations and discussions, those numbers seem about right.

No that is not always correct.
But in this day and age where heterosexuality isn't the only sexual orientation and people can talk freely about different orientations, a lot of teenagers asks themselves if they truly are heterosexual. That's when they start asking and maybe a little bit of experimenting if they are bold but I don't believe all women are bisexual or even curious.

@fuuuark just because I've made out with other women doesn't mean I'm not straight. I'm personally not sexually attracted to women, hence why I said I don't get turned on by kissing them. It's not my thing but if a good girl friend of mine wanted to make out or do it to get away from a situation I can do it, no problem. But I don't gain anything from it.

Doubt it, you can't chose whom you are attracted to, you will probably still like him. And word spreads, if you made out with a girl in a public place, guys you know probably have already labelled you as bisexual and possibly more attracted to women than men, or an attention whore, both are undesirable.

Nope. I knew I was straight and I didn't see any point in "experimenting" when I have no sexual attraction to women. And actually about half the girls do it because they think it's "so cool" to say they hooked up with a girl even though they know they aren't bi or gay.

more women than men i think will have same sex sex... you can google for that... but i had another girl go down on me 7 times when i was 13 but never recipricated so not sure if that's a gay experience... and once more on a beach with a much older women didn't repricate to her either... other than that never kissed another women other than hello or something to that effect never a passionate kiss

I wasn't attracted to her, but still didn't mind. A kiss is a kiss, it didn't cost me anything and did make her happy. She's still not my type and I'd never date her. With gender it can be the same, people can do one thing with other people (kiss) without automatically wanting something else (relationship, love).

@fuuuark most people around me are in university It's called sexual orientation for a reason. It's about attraction, not about action. Otherwise, if a man is raped by another man, he'd suddenly have to be bisexual. Examples: If two men were forced to have sex with each other without wanting it, they aren't suddenly gay either. If a lesbian woman in a religious community marries a man because she's afraid people might kill her, that doesn't suddenly make her straight. So where do you draw the line? It's about what you're attracted to, not about what yiu might be doing for external reasons. Many open minded people experiment with things to find out what they like. If two men sleep together to find it out and then decide they're not into it and they really do like women more, they're still straight. Except now, they know better what they don't like exactly.

It is based on choice and want. obviously if it were rape or against their will it doesn't count. As per the above question they are bi-curious, so they want to do sexual things with their own sex, to want to do it you have to have sexual attraction to them otherwise why would you wan't to do it in the first place?

@fuuuark they didn't want it for sexual reasons though. I do not consider girls who kiss each other only because they want to look hot to guys to be bicurious. They don't do it due to wanting to do it, they do it for something else. Same for these guys, they did it because they wanted general affection, not because they wanted the other guy. These guys aren't bicurious since they're simply not curious. They know what they do and don't like. With enough alcohol any mouth is a kissable mouth. They'd never have romantic feelings for other guys though. They're confident enough in theur heterosexuality to not care what other think.

Not all, not even a majority but a significant percentage. So far, four girls in their 20's have id'd themselves as capital S straight. There are studies that suggest that by their mid-40's at least 1 will be self-identifying as bi or even lesbian.

It's an official word and quantitative semantics is how we communicate. You have to have some degree of sexual attraction to your own sex to be sexually curious, which by definition would mean you are bisexual.

What I'm saying is I'm sexually attracted to men and pursue relationships with men. And it's not because I experimented with other girls in my teens that I'm bisexual.
