Why is missionary the default position?

From a reproductive point of view doggystyle should be the default position. If you have sex in that position the girl should put her butt higher than her head so when the man ejaculates, the sperm can flow nicely into the womb and it is also aided by gravity. So why is missionary the default position? Should nature not have given us an instinct to do it in doggystyle position instead of missionary position?

Or maybe missionary position being the default position is a product of our culture influencing our sex drives?

It's more intimate (eye contact), bonobos do it too, so it has probably been around for a very long time among humans, since long before agriculture was invented, so long before humans had distinctive cultures.

really almost all intelligent animals have cultures. like elephants have been observed having primitive forms of cultures. it could be. it could also be that we just like multiple positions.
