Well "Friends" means you're friends and do things that friends do, and not like a boyfriend/girlfriend does. You don't act like just causal acquaintances either nor like strangers that just met. "Benefits" means doing some or all the sexual things that couples can do. So when you put those together, you have FWB. Friends can chill and hang out together as friends. They can call and text each other because that's what friends do. You can even kiss a friend even though friends don't usually kiss, but if having "Benefits", why not kiss sometimes. You can talk and have fun. The main thing is that there are no emotional attachments, or at least there shouldn't be in a FWB relationship. I hope this helped.
Ok, it helped a bit. Just wondering (because obviously I am trying to figure out if I am in an unwanted FWB situation) if FWBs take each other out for dinner/movies/dates in general and pay for the other? Or if usually they only do those things if there is the expectation of sex after? Sorry to seem so clueless...I am not the casual kinda gal and I want to know if I should get out now before it turns into something I can't handle. Thanks!
I'm glad you asked again. It seems to me that dinner/movies/dates are things couples do that are going together. "Friends" don't usually do that even though they do some times go and see a movie. Also, friends don't "usually" pay for the other one. There's the possibility that he might want to take you out beforehand in expectation of having sex later. There's nothing wrong with doing something nice to make it better later. If you DON'T want it to go further, then be careful any romance.

We just dumped each other (VERY mutual, I promise) and I (rather stupidly) sent him a text after asking if it was ever anything potentially serious or if it was always just casual. So far no reply so I'm pretty sure I know my answer. Apparently I am rather easy to dupe lol. But honestly, the guy was sweet (or so I thought!) but thick so really better off hahaha.
If you are having sex, but you are not dating. If you are having sex and there is no pressure to stick around after it is FWB. Some guys and girls can't handle the emotional part. Three has to be an understanding that if one starts dating the FWB stops.

I can't answer your question because I don't have any first hand experience of being a friend with benefits. My guess is some cuddling is done as well as talking when it's over but only in a gratifying context. 'No strings attached' is the whole point of FWB. You're just f*** buddies. With that in mind, my guess is no there would not be much talking most days or hanging out.
