There are other telltale signs that give a girl away as such as blushing cheeks which in some girls (me) extends down her neck and chest. If I'm blushing either one or two things is happening, I'm embarrassed, or I'm totally turned on soaking wet!! So when my guy sees that, he knows for sure its green lit, all systems go, proceed to your intended destination!! I've never asked him if he detects any smell when I'm turned on (clothed) versus naked, I've noticed a little but not much, I'm used to my body's faint little smells like that though.
If you're already making out and things are getting heated, being able to 'tell' that the girl is more than likely somewhat wet would be an assumption that any reasonable man would make. It's not rocket science.

You can't tell if a girl is wet - unless she has body language/behavior that tells you that she's aroused. Some girls can be sopping wet and you'd never know, and other girls fidget, turn away, blush, etc. when they're horny and it's obvious what's going on. Some girls even start touching themselves (nipples or pussy) when they're horny without even realize they're doing it in other people's view - it's just subconscious.
That's not always true. I was on the phone to a girl and we were having a general conversation. Soon into the chat I noticed a slight change in her tone and energy and I was 99% sure she was hot. The next day I asked her and she admitted that she was. However, when she asked me to explain how I knew, I couldn't explain it. That's not the first time this has happened. A lot of wetness will mean a lot of associated smell. So if you are one who gets real wet easily, then most guys will be able to tell when they are with you.
