I'm watching an episode of Sex and the City (don't judge me 😉) and a guy has just found out he's no good at sex and most girls have probably faked it.

Ladies; have you ever faked an orgasm? If so, how often and why? I have a few times because I was so very tired I just wanted to go to sleep, but he could tell 🙈

Guys; has a lady ever faked it with you? How do you know and how did you react?

I've had a couple of girls fake (or at least, be in the process) and it's been immediately obvious to me - and I told them not to do it, and WHY (because I can't find out what's good for her if I can't trust the feedback I'm getting from her).

But here's the thing: I've always liked girls, and by around 11 years old, I knew I *really* liked girls and was fascinated with sex and women and womens' bodies. I also knew that I wasn't the best-looking or most confident guy, so I kind of figured that I'd better learn how to make the most of any opportunity for sex that I might get - thus I'd better learn how to do it right!

Given that it was the early 80's, not only was there no Internet, but I was a decade away from having a computer of my own. What there WAS were books, porn magazines, and later, VHS videos. Mostly, I read books, and in those books, I learned about what women enjoyed - and what was important for their enjoyment - and I was able to put that together with pictures and eventually video. So I had a pretty significant understanding of sex and how to pleasure a woman before I ever had a chance to try it for myself.

I've put that knowledge to good use, and I have gotten unsolicited positive feedback from almost every woman I've slept with. I've given women many thousands of REAL orgasms, so it's hard to slip a fake one past me.

I *did*, early on, struggle with the concept that some women may simply not be able to have an orgasm every time, and that they're okay with that. It took a bit to grasp that she could intensely enjoy giving ME pleasure, and the closeness of sex, even if she didn't orgasm for some reason (stress/hormones). But eventually I was able to accept this, and so I'm very open about those things, and I've occasionally had a girl say "I'm probably not going to have one tonight, but I still want to have sex - don't hold back on my account." And when they have a huge, real orgasm the next time, it starts to click that "hey, it IS okay if they don't orgasm EVERY TIME - as long as they get them when they want them and as long as they enjoy sex itself."

I haven't had a woman fake it for many years. I think that may be due to the fact that I like a LOT of communication before we get into bed, and a fair amount whilst in bed too.
I faked it a few times myself in my younger years, and I don't think she ever suspected it lol.

I haven't because I think the worst thing to do (for him and me) would be to fake one, because then he'd think whatever he did worked and will keep doing it. And how do you stop him from doing it in the future, do you tell him it doesn't work and the one time it did you were faking it? Awkward.

In general, I think it is easy to tell. My wife has done it a few times. She has a problem orgasming anyway, even with herself. I think if a guy pays attention he will know what king of a job he is doing. you always must watch and feel and pay attention to you partners reactons and go from there.

Not that I know. Most either orgasmEd or didn't. Some women get very sensitive when they get close and can't continue.
