@Indian-African Excuse me but I'm not a liberal, I'm a socialist. I oppose neoliberalism. However liberals do get death threats for presenting even the most watered down progressive ideas, you can only imagine the treatment those on the radical left receive. Again; free speech means the government can't censor you. It doesn't protect you from other people's reactions to what you say, or from private institutions refusing you a platform. Threats to free speech include policies like Prevent in the UK, which legally requires people to report on anyone 'at risk from radicalisation' (disproportionately targetting muslim people and those on the left). I condone violent protest in circumstances where it is necessary for the protection of others. 'Opinions' which threaten the safety of other people are not opinions, because people's right to exist will always trump others' 'opinion' that they shouldn't exist.
