Does anal sex feel better than vaginal sex?

Trying to understand this before I give up sex completely :)

I have heard guys saying anal sex feels better than vaginal sex (here on GAG). I wonder if nature screwed up here and falsely made the vagina "too loose" or did we create a penis by circumcision that can not be satisfied by the vagina anymore...(once read such a study).

I give vaginal a small edge - but the point is that they're DIFFERENT, and most guys are into VARIATION. "Variety is the spice of life" is a very true statement.

I love a good steak, properly seared and spiced - but that doesn't mean I want to eat nothing but steak for dinner for the rest of my life. I want different flavors at different times - and wanting that doesn't mean that I've stopped liking or appreciating steak. But sometimes I want pizza, or chicken, or Italian, or Mexican, or whatever.

In the bedroom, I want to give my woman pleasure - and if I can find a new way to do that, I want that on the menu. I want her to feel pleasure in every way she can, and I want to blow her mind and leave her a limp, wasted mess on the floor because her brain is so far gone that it will be a half hour before it returns to her body.

Anal is one of several ways to achieve that, and I love having it as an option. Most girls I've been with would agree. A few didn't, and that was okay, but lots of them INITIALLY were completely against anal, and now they don't know how they lived without it.

Of course, it's your life, and you have to do what's right for you. Nothing wrong with that. I just suggest that before you cross something off your list, that you find a partner who really cares about YOUR pleasure, and that you give it a real, fair shake (which in this context may mean trying it 5-10 times, with adjustments and communication). If you're still against it, then, fine, I would totally respect that.

anal feels better for emotional/psychological reasons. Physically, it's not really any different from vaginal, once you get into it. It's noticeably tighter at first, but you have to go really slow anyway so that doesn't matter. After you get it in and get a few thrusts going, it loosens up to feel exactly like vaginal. The excitement comes from being reminded that your girl puts pleasure above dignity.

Not necessarily. People don't do it so much as for a different feel as much as a variety. The taboo aspect is a turn on to some.
Some women report huge orgasms.
Some guys say it's tighter, but if you stretch it out it's not, so there's that.

It's surely not for casual encounters.

i can't​ talk about the male part as i never experienced that, neither i can talk about the female part as i'm not a woman. all i know is, that the vagina is connected to the clitoris and so vaginal sex stimulates a lot of sensitive areas, while anal sex only stimulates those areas indirectly. that's the physical part. of course anal sex has a dirty image somehow which gives it more attraction for some people which can increase the stimulation a lot. so the mental part can give a great boost. view of the male part i think this is down to male masturbation habits. most male tend to touch only the upper part of the penis while masturbating. so they get used to that feeling. but the vagina gives that feeling only when you enter and not when you're deep in, while the anus (mostly a lot more tight) simulates that kind of stimulation better. so much about theory. maybe someone will enrich or refute this with knowledge from experience.

Presuming a normal woman with average physical activity the odds of greater muscle tone in the anus is higher just due to normal use therefore it "feels tighter"; the actual nature of which feels better depends on multiple factors including the size of the penis itself, the musculature and texture of the vagina v. anus (because the anal canal is smooth generally), the ease of sex, etc.
