It's a strange question, but why do us women get really horny on our period.

It is true that women do feel hornier during menstruation, you're not the only one. I'm actually studying the reproductive system right now in med school and found your question interesting and I did a bit of research. There's no definitive answer as to why this happens. However, I have a theory I just thought of and with a bit of research it might be true. During your period prostaglandins increase (they increase due to a reduction in your progesterone). This increases causes your uterine wall to shed and also have cramps. I found that when prostaglandins were injected in male boars it increased their sperm ejaculation and amount of time they stayed mounted (this is according to a random research paper I quickly skinmed). So maybe that's the reason? Who knows, would find it to be an interesting thing to research.
Estrogen plays a role in libido though for sure, but during your menstruation it is at its lowest point. Estrogen is at its highest around ovulation (14 days into your cycle) so that's why you feel the horniest around that time.

Thank you for your response. I have the same issue during my period. i find it strange that my sex drive not as intense during my fertile days , which is when I would assume would make sense.

It is normal for girls to feel horny during the periods. It is because of the release of un fertilized ovam from the ovaries.

The odds are incredibly low, but it's a rare possibility however giving correct information when posing it as a fact rather than an opinion (especially on this issue) is important. Saying a woman is most fertile on her period and it's a natural time to want to procreate is completely false 😊 Men can read 😉 I wouldn't think their additional appendage makes them incapable
