Let's be honest here... women have no freaking idea how much distance one inch actually is, let alone 5 or 7 or 10 inches.
And sorry if this sounds disrespectful but I've seen enough girls who look at a 50 foot distance and they say something like "it's about 150 feet" (or also with very small distances). Once you are done with your service, you are allowed (until a few years ago you were required) to keep your army rifle at home. However, there's no such thing as carrying in public like in the US. Also, you're not allowed to keep munition at home.
