How do I shave down there without getting severe razor burn?

Ok so serious question. How do I shave down there without getting a severe razor rash? I've dated other girls who were like smooth as a baby down there. I've tried shaving with all kinds of different gels and creams and stuff and it is always disastrous. Within a few hours I get all those red bumps and stuff but they don't go away and eventually swell up and become filled with like white stuff like zits. It takes a week almost to heal. It sounds gross and is. Right now I just use an electric razor to trim as shirt as possible but I've been with a few girls who still said it was rough on their tongue and mouth while eating me and hinted they wanted to to compliment shave it bare. I tried waxing. once to. It lasted longer but then I still got the bumps and painful rash (I was also red for a lot longer). A don't know if it's just my skin or what. Any advice?

  • Some people are just more prone to it, and shaving shorter instead of leaving 5-10mm of hair will still do it.

I was more prone to it, but found shaving with the grain of the hair using a little bit of shaving cream then washing it off, then shaving against the grain with a little more - didn't use a moisturiser afterwards and after patting dry allow it to comepletey air dry for awhile and don't wear tight clothing for the first 24 hours worked.
If I was a little bit damp or got sweaty in tight clothes i got the razor burn and bumps

    • Thanks sweetie. So far this is the most helpful advice I've gotten.

    • Good luck 😊 It's a frustrating thing but it's just finding what works. I found keeping it completely shaved and not letting it grow back (so doing it every few days) minimised it. Then I got laser which was the best thing ever

    • I wanted laser but they told me that my hair is too fair and or reddish and that it wouldn't work good. My old roommate spent like over 10K getting laser all over his chest back legs and big etc and he still had lots of hair remaining. It was just like more sporadic. That being said I'm only interested in getting my cooch done. Did you get the whole thing or just part of it or your bikini line? Did you get 100% hair loss without it growing back?

  • Nair it... burns some, but it stays smooth for weeks.

also, dont shave the wrong way.. it causes ingrown hairs.. those red bumps and zits you get...

  • recently read this cosmo article about it and the steps seem legit

  • It stops doing that after 5 shaves or so. Make sure you wait long enough between shaves so that yiur skin has a chance to heal and become less sensitive. Don't wait so long that you're basically starting from scratch though. Also, shave with the grain and not against it the first 15 times or so.

  • Don't hold the razor over a fire for 6 ours and you won't get burnt.
    10/10 works everytime.

  • try using fur stubble cream

    • Also, if you just want it to be soft, they also have pube oil that makes it all soft and silky. It even lessens the chances of getting ingrown hairs down there.

    • So this will make it so that someone can give me oral without feeling like their tongue is on sand paper?

    • Yup, it will make it as soft as baby hair. Lots of women have started oiling their pubes instead of shaving, there's a video on BuzzFeed of a group of women testing the oil out for a week and it had a great response. I'd look at the reviews but from what I read, they're mainly positive.

  • i would just let it all grow in as I do. there's no pain ever from havi g pubic hair

  • Baby oil is helpful.

  • Use lots and lots of sudocreme after shaving 😊 it helped me.

  • Seriously, why shave? Keep something there so you don't look like a pre-pubescent girl.

    • It's not about me I just want to make my partners happy. I'll admit even as a giver it is a lot nicer when of nothing but skin.

    • If you were my partner, I would suggest you not shave it all off.

  • Im sure any guy will help you.

  • It's probably just your skin. I get bad razor burns too but it's all fine when I get waxed. No ingrown hairs and no redness, so I don't know what could be causing this. You could try laser removal though, maybe it works for you.

  • Maybe use one of the sensitive skin waxing creams

  • since you said nothing about the electric razor giving you problems I'd say trim it short and let it get used to the short hair down there for a few days and then buy some aloe vera and some razors with the most blades and apply some aloe to the area and then shave using practically no pressure.
let it get used to the new trim for a few days and see if it can become a routine that'll work for you

  • Why shave at all? It isn't natural

  • Just keep waxing. It gets thinner and thinner over time.

  • Wax it

  • waxing is the best

  • ask them to shave you because if your belonged to me I would and lick while I was shaving

  • Sounds like you have very sensitive skin but waxing is definitely the best way to go.

    • When I waxed I stayed smooth but then after six hours I still got a rash and the bumps with the white stuff and it was even worse 😢

  • Go with the grain. Do it in the shower, usually when you shave you want your pores and skin wet and warm so it doesn't irritate the skin as much.

  • Why not ask some of those smooth carpet-munchers for some tips? Let one of them shave you.

    • I did lol. Disasterous. She felt so bad when she saw the rash.

    • I think you will have to stick with waxing or go for electrolysis.

  • it's ingrowing hair folicals.
get yourself a really good/ expensive razor and shave in the same direction that the hair grows not against it and I think you'll see a difference

  • Okay so I do shave and am sensitive. My face is actually the more sensitive, but I also shave it less. First, whatever you do to your body should be for you and not a partner, mind you I can relate to the preference. You could try trimming, the a hot compress, the sensitive shave gel, then a cold compress, then an aftershave lotion. After wash the area with a shower poof, one that is not too soft. This will help with the razor burn and ingrown hair. Good luck.

    • shave it slowly

  • Wait. Why just leave it. Bush is back

    • As far as I can tell from porn the bush is only back above the lips and not actually on them.

    • Yes that's fine

    • Either way though if still have to shave. I way around it.
