So I recently read a question asking which sex is more attracted to the other. Most people said that men are more attracted to women than women are to men because men can instantly feel lust by looking at a pretty woman, while women can't feel lust by looking at a handsome man. In other words, men can find women visually appealing, while women only want a man to have a nice personality and be caring.

Men and women fall in love at pretty close to the same rate (which is: RARELY). But here's the difference between men and women:

Women put men in 3 categories, just as men do, but for women, those categories are:

- Men I have feelings for and want to be in a relationship with.

- Men I don't have feelings for, but are attractive in some way, so I JUST WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH THEM.

- Men I have no interest in whatsoever.

For men, the first and last group are the same, but the middle one is VERY different. Men's groups are called:

- Women I have feelings for and want to be in a relationship with.

- Women I don't have feelings for, but are attractive in some way, so I WANT TO FUCK THEM.

- Women I have no interest in whatsoever.

The difference is that the majority of women have no interest in casual sex - and most can't have casual sex without becoming emotionally attached, which puts her in a position to be hurt - while the majority of men absolutely desire casual sex with as many girls as they can (which, admittedly, for most men isn't many, but look at the guys who CAN get a lot of women - they almost always DO).

It's not that women don't find men attractive - they do - it's that they don't want casual sex, because they pay a big price when their feelings get hurt when they change their mind and want a relationship and the guy is happy with just casual sex and doesn't want the relationship. So, the premise of the question itself is wrong, because it misses the point.

Men and women have a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT view of casual sex (with a few exceptions on both sides, of course), because the cost/benefit ratio is vastly different for men compared to women.

attraction isn't quantifiable so... there's no answer.

Levels of attraction differ not only in TYPE (ie. sexual/romantic/nostalgic/future-oriented, etc.), but are also affected by external factors like stigma and what society approves of. Which mean that no shit most people will say guys are more attracted to women than vice versa what-with men being praised for their prowess, and many cultures still denying the mere existence of a sex drive within women.

  There were men in the study too! A larger study with 500 people yielded the same results (the study concluded straight women don't exist, it is peer reviewed and has no antithesis). Lesbian porn is by far the most popular genre of porn to the female demographic (pornhub statistics). Men are hornier and more visually attracted to women or men. Whereas women are horny too but in a more intimate way... Whether they like men or women. It has to do with hormones and evolution. A woman can only get pregnant by one man a year, but men can impregnate any woman at any time. So men have a desire to spread their genes while women have a desire to get a good man's genes and keep him around to help with the baby.

For example, a guy might be attracted to his girl's beautiful smile, face and her nurturing side, while girls might enjoy their boyfriend's charisma, the way he makes his girl feels safe and the way he takes initiative or playfully picks her up. We are attracted to each other equally, but in different ways.

  I never said that looks don't mean anything to women. Every girl is different, but I think the average woman likes athletic and tall men with a symmetric face and high cheekbones. They are attracted to that type of men. It's just that women aren't 'as' visual as men.

  @nick1979 Traditionally women have always been under more pressure to be modest. Women expressing their sexual/romantic desires have been considered shameless. But again, women who are more desired by men are considered to be better. As a result, a woman who doesn't want men but men want her is kind of envied the most by everyone else. So they often hesitate to be true to their feelings and express them to people. I'm known as a clean and innocent girl myself and I can assure you that I'm just like anyone else, I'm only too shy to reveal my desires in public. Even in GaG, even when I give anonymous replies I just can't say it openly. It's only nature.

  I don't think men are that much different in that departure. I see men express their sexual desires anonymous as well. I think both genders are looking for a partner they can be themselves with and share those secrets with. I can that all the people I've been with I've been surprised by how they think. For me it was positive, (especially because I felt like they didn't share it with just anyone) but I could have never have imagined it because like you say, girls are expected to behave a certain way in public. (men too to be honest) I think it's good. Some things should just be kept between you and the person you feel closest to and most intimate with.

Guys are attracted to about 1000 different things but it's always related to a womans anatomy or voice.

Women are attracted to about 200 things that "IS" the guy and 800 things are crap like their car, success, money, power, fame, etc.

I don't think that is true however. They can feel lust for handsome men, but their standards on how attractive a guy needs to be to have sex with outside of a relationship are higher than men's standards.

  The same behavior can be found in Indian and Asian cultures. Women are naturally so preserved and cautious because of the fear of male rape, which seems kind of logic to me. Women usually go out in large packs for a reason. It's like second nature to them.

Just observe some primitive tribes, and you will find that the women and men usually live completely different lives apart from each other.   @bekkesmash I'm talking about pure physical attraction. women are attracted by pleasure not by the vision of a male or female body. the aroused system is different from the man where aroused is predominantly mediated by visual stimulation. The latest research says that in terms of physical pleasure all women are bisexual. heterosexual women choose to be with a man for so many other reasons. In this case only men can satisfy her primary needs such as emotions or protection for his future children. She is attracted to male energy which not only includes sexual pleasure but a whole series of factors such as emotional involvement

  Research would suggest so in terms of gender specific traits, but that was not what I was saying. The question is who is more attracted to who, we singled out sexual attraction in our conversation, knowing what you do about female sexual orientation, surely you can see that men are more sexually attracted to women than vice versa.

Ok Ill explain it this way, a man's semen is useful everyday, a women can only be pregnant once in 9 months, so men have a stronger sex drive, If a man is gay or straight, he will still be more sexually attracted to the gender he is attracted to, than women are to anyone.
