Is shower sex honestly as glorious as they make it seem?

Although some might say shower sex is difficult to carry out, it's still promoted as something glorious. And it is a popular fantasy.

The idea of it is hot as hell, but the expectation and the reality are often completely different.

So, for people with some experience, what do you say?

What about things like :
1. Slippery Surface.
2. Lubrication.

Hmm, it's definitely sensual and intimate, it is nice in the kissing and all that stuff but when you actually get to sex, it's not that great :P It washes away the natural lubrication so it ended up being all dry and chafe-y, I think we both nearly died like 3 times and also height differences are way more problematic standing up in the shower than they are lying down on a bed. The 10 inch height difference between us certainly complicated matters :P So all in all, fun but maybe best restricted to foreplay and then the actual sex happening elsewhere.

It really is just sex in water... it can be good or bad sex, but it isn't amazing or glorious... In all honesty it is MUCH nicer just having a shower together and a nice grope... washing each other and having a sexy cuddle then getting to the sex afterwards... it is certainly one of those things that is made out to be some wild experience but it's just soggy sex...

Personally I wasn't a huge fan. My boyfriend and I aren't that into it. But I think if you had the right partner or right shower, you could make it work. But I don't think it is for everyone... Definitely not like how they portray it in the movies! haha

It CAN be pretty great, BUT you have to accept and accommodate the inherent limitations that come with it.

You have to stick to a few positions and you have to keep the penetration away from the water. If you can work that out, it can be a great time.

basically it also requires experience, angles and positions where your whole body gets watered but your genital do not, or use a oily lubricant, and assuming that sex produces heat and lukewarm water will cool it down! i assume shower sex can be great

No, I think it's totally overrated, personally. It's slippery and dangerous, washes away lubrication, and is physically difficult. There's always water in someone's eyes, something going wrong.

In the right shower it can be fun. I tried unsuccessfully in some small shower stalls and it just doesn't work, he's to tall, I'm to short, no room to bend over, nothing stable to hang onto etc. Then I've had a lot of fun in a larger shower which like the one in my home now has a seat, hand rails and is like 6' x 6' with multiple shower heads.

Lmao sex is NEVER as glorious and elegant as they make it seem. Shower sex particularly. Because you’re cramped in there, you can’t get a good hold on anything, everything is wet so you’re trying to balance yourself.
