Girls, why do you use lube for sex?

It's safe to say most people know the general purpose of lube; that purpose being to "wet the pipes" for smoother sexual sailing. But all that tells me is that you're just not turned on, horny and wet enough to have sex, so you need "help" from lube. Why would you want to have sex if you need lube? Guys, how does it make you feel that your lady needs a lube to get wet?
I'm just curious as to why would women go to such extremes as to get "help" from toys and chemicals for the sake of having sex, when they're not aroused? Is it for your partner?
I am asexual and I never had any sexual desire ever, I never got wet or horny or whatever, so I always use lube for sex. But I know what I am and I know why I use it, but I know so many girls who also use it a lot (or even always) and they claim to be sexual? I don't get it.

  • Sex is wonderful. So are slip and slides. Shout-out to whichever genius first realized lube could combine the two in the most incredible way. Lubricant is such a fun subject. Like you're not physically or emotionally interested in what's about to go down.
The truth is that even if you're insanely turned on and would please like to have sex with this person forever and ever amen, lube can still make the experience more enjoyable. Instead of meaning you're "less of a woman" for dipping a toe vagina into that pool, it means you're empowered enough to have the best time in bed possible.
Here, 10 reasons why you should feel free to use lube whenever you want during sex.
    1. Sometimes your body takes its sweet time catching up to your turned-on mind.
    2. Lube can introduce delightful new feelings during sex.
    3. It can help offset some issues that affect your natural lubrication.
    4. Lube can free up your mind to focus on the sex at hand.
    5. It can decrease painful friction that gets in the way of all those good feelings.
    6. Using it can turn into amazing foreplay.
    7. Lube can help you figure out what you like while masturbating.
    8. It can make anal sex more pleasurable than painful.
    9. There are lubes you can use even if you have a sensitive vagina.
    10. Your vagina won't become "addicted" to it, promise.

  • I don't get it either, generally; I only have to use lube if I'm in her pussy and I've been fucking her for quite a while, because she always gets wet, but it doesn't last forever. Generally I'll just have her put her mouth on me for a sec before going back in her pussy if she dries a bit, but sometimes lube is nice after long sessions.

The only real reason though is for anal, like you definitely need it for that unless she's magically just really good at it or really comfortable and can just use saliva of course, but I wouldn't recommend it lol. So I assume you mean for pussy, and the answer is "sometimes, almost never."

  • Not all women can lubricate enough for sex to be comfortable. A myriad of things can cause this, such as medications, hormone levels, etc. It is not a reliable indication that a woman is not aroused.

Additionally, vigorous sex can dry up what natural lube is there.

Plus, condoms require extra lubricant than what is in the package to prevent risk of tearing.

You are repeating some toxic mythology that stigmatizes the use of lubricant when it is needed, and these notions make women feel like their bodies are screwed up if they are aroused but are too dry. It also makes men feel badly.

You can be dry AND aroused.

Yes, some women don't really get aroused for sex because of not enough or the right kinds of foreplay, and have lovers who don't care, so they too may use lube just to deal. But your assumption that this is all women who use lubricant is incorrect.

    • I think you live in a lie...

    • It's so much easier to invent something like chemical lubrication then to actually deal with this issue which IS a real issue that no one gives a damn about. Wetness IS a sign that a women is aroused and ready. I can't believe you are this old and not know this basic human nature? Wetness is as simple a a boner. It's actually the same thing, and both exist for the very same reason.

    • Actually, wetness is not the same as a boner. Women have erectile tissue in the clitoris, which is the same organ as the penis. That can be a better sign of arousal, but it is not perfectly reliable either. Wetness can be a sign of arousal. It can be a sign that the woman just has a moister vagina than other women. But lack of adequate lubrication is not a reliable sign that a woman is not aroused. It MAY mean that, and I certainly do think there is a lack of focus on the mechanisms of female arousal, so many women do get penetrated before they are ready for it - we think of foreplay as optional after all, yet women do need it. But some women have perfectly natural and normal reasons why they don't get very wet when aroused. It can be fluctuations in estrogen, it can be the loss of estrogen due to having the ovaries removed, it can be menopause. There are many medications that cause vaginal dryness, and from personal experience, marijuana can contribute to that.

  • I get wet AF and my boyfriend and I still use lube when we use condoms... the friction of rubber and skin just isn’t a nice combo. Same goes with toys. No matter how wet you are the friction of something artificial just doesn’t mesh well.

When we fuck bare there’s no need.

Question: why are you having sex if you don’t want to?

  • Some females just can't make enough of their own lube naturally... So they use other lube... I used a lot of lube when I lost my v card at 16 and I'm 17 now.,... And the experience was amazing and even better with. lube💞😋

  • I'm 7" long and 5.5" in girth and 1.75" wide when I'm hard. That's usually too big for most girls, we use lube so I can slide in and slowly stretch her without causing more pain.

  • I use lube because you can get tingle or warming or cooling or flavoured lube which adds a little extra spice to sex. I dont use it to make sex easier. Lube is also good for anal. As for toys they can be fun as well to spice up your sex life

  • Some women just don't get as wet as most... Also for me if I've been drinking or smoking I don't self lubricate as well.

    • as for toys we don't necessarily need toys they're just fun

  • Sadly, most girls use it when they aren't horny but want to please the guy they are with.

Some girls don't produce enough "natural lube", nothing they can do about it other than use sex lube to make up the difference.

  • Different women get wet differently. Some do not produce much natural lubrication regardless of how turned on they are. Further, if the girl is especially tight then some additional lubrication can be useful.

  • They're boyfriend might not be able to make them wet enough, that doesn't mean they don't enjoy sex, but like you said they need a smoother time

  • Some women don't produce enough lube for their comfort, others don't get enough forplay (are still interested, but just didn't get enough to, um "wet the pipes") and some just prefer to use simply because it feels better for them (not to mention the ones that heat up or cool down)

  • I use lube to peg, I have no issue for myself.

    • R u a mistress... u peg boys

    • Yep yep

  • Some women just can't get wet enough, it also doesn't help that many men are circumcised, which dries out the vagina during sex.

    • Do you say the same when you can't get a boner? That some guys just can't get it up, but your still very much aroused and you're DYING to have sex with her?

    • Never had that problem! They call it stage fright and erectile dysfunction for a reason though. There is a physiological issue preventing your boy from standing at attention, just like there is a physiological problem if your lady doesn't roll out the red carpet for her guest.

    • Exactly my point! If a guy can't get a boner then it is acknowledged that he has a medical (or a physiological) condition, but if a girl can't get wet then it's labeled as "normal". Like, "don't worry ladies, we have a solution to all your problems - lubricants! It comes with different shapes, tastes and colors!". It's so stupid. There is something obviously "out of place" for a girl that can't wet, and I'm so pissed that those girls won't even try to consider why, they just grab this magical chemical invention and go on with their "awesome" sex life not knowing a damn thing about their own sexual issue or the other ways it could be solved. Same for guys, I once got heated with a guy and ofc I couldn't get wet, and he just said "oh, wait, I have a lube! There we go, all good now!".

  • Wow, thank you for this post you don’t even know. Same difference as to a man not being able to get it up. So women do have sexual dysfunctions.

Sounds just like women have a hard time getting it wet, should guys be laughing about this?

  • You also have to realize some girls no matter how turned on they are dont produce enough. Its a common condition.

    • Yeah, it means they are not aroused. Simple as that. Being turned on and being aroused is not the same. I think this is a very serious issue that is being overlooked. Would you say the same for men that can't get a boner? Would you say it's a common condition and just dismiss the issue by giving him a viagra? Like with that all problems are solved. Wetness for women is same as boner for men.

    • I agree but you have to take into account even if they are aroused their are some women that naturally dont produce enough fluids. Has nothing to do with being aroused.

    • Well you can keep telling that to yourself if it will make you feel better. Let's all just use lubricants and totally dismiss the issue that we are UNABLE to lubricate naturally (like we should). It is all normal! Hell, I need a wheelchair because I can't walk on my own, but I AM NOT DISABLED PERSON.

  • Some women have a physical condition that causes vaginal dryness such as low estrogen levels among many more. So even though they crave and desire sexual intercourse they need assistance from a very safe water based lubricant such as KY or Astro Glide. Does this help answer your question?

  • I use lube when the girl has problems with getting wet. It's not neccessarily that she is not horny. There are several factors that can result in dryness despite being horny.

    • Actually, no there isn't. Dryness can occur for 3 reasons: 1. insufficient arousal, 2. medications and 3. low estrogen level. Wetness for women is same as boner for men. If woman is not wet then that means she's not aroused. You can google it if you don't believe me.

    • Well, you forgot the gland insufficiency and the bacterial imbalance.

    • I had a girlfriend with gland insuffiency. No matter how much she wanted to rape me, she was dry.

  • The lube can make the experience more intense , plus can have a anti spermaside which kills any stray semen.. Also makes sex smoother wearing a condom..

  • Same way some men have ed some women don't get wet. Some girls could be completely turned off but its still makes a spash when you go in. Personally i like girls not too wet. Makes them feel tighter😉

  • Well everybody is diff. And that’s not true at all about the lack of being turned on or not horny enough, etc. Some people can’t seem to get wet. Maybe it’s age, stress, whatever? For me, my woman gets wet just fine, but sometimes we desire lube or oil because it just feels even more better and it heightens the sensations and makes it more kinky and slippery. We use it with toys too. My woman loves and needs the clit stimulating especially during intercourse so loves when I throw on a vibrating cock ring or a vibrator directly on it for her. It’s very enjoyable for the both of us!

  • Some of can't take huge Dicks so the lube helps getting in in,,,

    • R u a mistress... u peg boys

  • not everyone's bodies get wet the same. So it's safer to lube up and be safe than end up being drier than the Mojave desert when you've got a dick trying to slide in and out of your body. :) that's how things get injured.
