  • It IS an achievement. Otherwise you'd not be asking this.

Biologically, all of the competition and variations/differences between the people is created in order to procreate with the best genes. When you finally been able to have sex, you make sure that you succeeded in doing what nature wanted you to do for the mankind as your bloodline continues.

In the current era, the pleasure factor greatly dominates over the procreation factor. But still, who doesn't want to get it? You are getting what you wanted so, it is still an accomplishment.

The changes you'll feel after finally doing so are totally worth it. It will give you a confidence boost. You'll know how the sex really feels like. For what you've been curious about whole your life. Now, you belong to a group who never gets ashamed of their status. You experienced a whole new thing... even if it's the most overrated thing in this world.

It's not as big achievement as getting your dream job or winning a very important race, but still, you are checking a very important thing in the bucket list of a human life.

  • No, it is given far too much importance. The event itself should not be the be all and end all of life but so superficial are we that it is treated as such. If people calmed the fuck down about losing it they'd probably lose it quicker.

  • I'm not a virgin. My guy thinks of it as an achievement, but I don't. Having sex for the first time shouldn't be a symbol of greatness. It shouldn't be viewed like a trophy moment. Virgins shouldn't be valued and placed up at an alter or teased as they are older. Having sex for the first time can be fun, can be exciting, can be memorable... Or it can be the downright shittiest day any person would want wiped away from their memories. Having sex for the first time should be prepared for but not hyped. It isn't always special and can be damaging to self-esteem if one partner or the other is actually disappointed. It is just another milestone in life, a new discovery, a new chapter of a person's life.

  • I clicked "I'm not Virgin and No it isn't an achievement" but meant to click "I'm Virgin and No it isn't an achievement"

  • the achievement would be to share an intimate and beautiful experience for the first time with someone you love

  • No I don't

  • It's not an achievement, it'S just something that's bound to happen to everyone sooner or later

    • Unless you're asexual.

  • In a way it is. Almost everyone older than 20 who is still a virgin by their own choice (not cause in their country it's a must) are craaazyyyy.

    • I've never had vaginal sex but I'm a lesbian and I don't consider myself a virgin. (I tried anal once with a guy)

  • For some people they consider it to be so, but that's what they believe in. I really don't care either way as it's irrelevant to me.

  • Not an achievement, no.

A landmark in life, perhaps? It felt important at the time.

  • At this point, yes. Lmfao.

  • For me it wasn't a big deal, but I had assholes around who told me it WAS a big deal, and if I didn't get any, it was a big joke to them, and I deserved to be called a faggot or a 'fairy boy'.

  • No it isn't. I rather feel like it's a loss.

  • Virginity doesn't exist...

  • If you don't want to be a virgin & manage to have sex, yeah in a small way its an achievement. It isn't half as important as people put it, but I think its still significant. I was happy as fuck about it.

  • yes because sex is amazing

  • I'm Virgin and No it isn't an achievement

  • Uhm no, it's just a natural thing that happens to most of us in one point of our lives

  • No it isn't some accomplishment or event. An achievement would be to keep or preserve you virginity some some specific time or event.

  • But not an achivement like just get a hooker etc

  • I'd be 52 year old virgin if didn't Lose my Virginity at 24 year's old.

  • Still a virigin!
Don't care anymore, life goes on and I an sure I have a great future!

  • Nope

  • Let's be honest, in your teens it becomes a big contest between lads who has gone furthest with a girl. So at that stage it's an achievement and you can brag to all your mates if you've gone further. Then you get a bit older and more sensible and nobody cares.

  • I'm a virgin, and I think it's great to wait... for now.
