I don't think it's porn had any influence. According to US CDC study ( https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr036.pdf), 36% of women have had anal sex. The survey was taken in 2006-2008 timeframe and the findings were similar to the similar 1991 and 1995 studies. Proliferation of porn in our culture has become possible due to internet and cannot account for similarities in findings in earlier studies.
For me, the attraction has a lot to do with my partner. I love her. I want to enjoy every bit of her. Anal is part of her. She told me that her first boyfriend had no clue what he was doing and it was very painful. Since then, she's vary of it. That said, she understood how important it was to me and she wanted to do something special. We did it such that it did not feel painful and in the end, we shared a very close and special moment that I could never experience with another person.
