Note that when I say sex drive, I mean toward random men and women, not to toward someone you are in a relationship with. I think it's important that the sex drive is born from attraction to gender specific traits when it correlates to sexual orientation.

But like most things in life, there is a gray area to sexual orientation if you open your mind. I personally would not call someone "bicurious" just because they enjoyed watching lesbian porn.   Then it's simple. Yes, however if someone enjoys watching same sex porn the implecations of them doing so is no where near as bad as if they were into child porn. However my point is someone that watches same sex porn may be bisexual, but wouldn't have a need to identify themselves as such because it's not something they are interested in doing in real life.   No, lesbian porn does not really arouse me. More just solo women or hetero porn. Perhaps I technically qualify in some form as bisexual, but I'd be very borderline. I always thought bicurious or bisexual meant harboring a desire for sexual interaction with both sexes.   Actually, I do remember reading an article trying to explain the evolutionary background behind the almost "bisexual" nature of a lot of women. In the distant, distant past, polygamous situations involving a multitude of women were sometimes the norm. As a result, women developed traits to ensure their survival in such an environment. Those that were aroused and not "put off" by other females or even inspired to become more sexual, had more success in mating and securing their survival. So many weird things about us is just baggage from long gone times. I think it is perfectly reasonable to call yourself straight if you don't want to have sex with your own gender, regardless of what porn you look at.

  Some are, true. But many just have these leftover impulses that don't translate into actual full blown bisexuality - they are just echoes of something long gone. The range is quite staggering - between my appreciation of an image of a naked woman and the actual act of sex with said woman lies a world of difference and a lot of women, my friend. I am very confident in saying I am heterosexual, as I know that I will never willingly have sex of any kind with a woman. I would have no issues saying I was truly bisexual if it were true... but it isn't.

  @Shallan haha, we can both breathe a sigh of relief for avoiding the BDSM gene. I like that you'd be open to being bisexual and even wish it were the case. 'Course I'm a virgin but judging by the looks of a woman and her body features (that are of incredible softness and smoothness), it just seems like being with them would deliver amazing comfort and pleasure to one's hands, lips, and sensitive bits. It's not winning any awards at the beauty pageant (I have the same view of vaginas dw), and around 75% of the time it will never make you cum. So why the strong appeal?   Yes, I explained why some women have bisexual tendencies earlier. And again - Being aroused by something is NOT the same as actually being a pedophile or bisexual. Some people have rape fantasies too - does that mean they want to be assaulted? Fantasies and arousal are weird. I know people who are aroused by cartoons or the shape, smell or sound of objects (like a vacuum cleaner) - does that mean they want to have sex with cartoons or bang a vacuum cleaner? Not necessarily. In fact, in many cases, the answer is NO. And as long as you never feel the desire to act on your arousal, you aren't "____insert type of sexual____".
