Guys, do you sometimes hate that women around you wear revealing outfits in public/at work?

Guys are extremely visual creatures. Always have been. Always will be. When it comes to sex, our idea of foreplay is watching and carefully studying a woman's body and her outfit; the way it accentuates her curves, the way it exposes some skin while keeping the rest of her body left to the imagination, the way she is moving her body in a sexually suggestive manner. We study her every contour and her every movement.

Combine that with the fact that we get turned on as easily as flicking on a light switch, why then does it not bother you for women to wear such outfits in public or at work?

A survey conducted in Australia a few years ago found that 75% of men who worked in an office environment admitted that they did not like the way the women at their work dressed because they found it too distracting. I myself went through the same thing at uni. I found myself unable to avert my gaze and could not stop thinking about sex. My underwear would see its fair share of pre-cum and the first thing I would do once I arrive home was masturbate just to relieve myself from the constant urge I was experiencing throughout the day.

So guys, have you ever experienced the same thing and do you sometimes wish that women were a little more modest?

  • What’s revealing to some is not revealing to others, what some get turned on and distracted by others don’t.
We can’t constantly cater to men and what they are “comfortable” with. People will always be distracted about some things. I mean there’s a whole lot of men out there with foot fetishes or just get turned on by women wearing heels (which many have to for office jobs), should they just stop wearing heels then? Switch to uggs maybe?
There’s plenty that get turned on by school uniforms, should we stop that to prevent guys from being distracted and turned on by it?
The list can go on forever and in the end you may as well wear a burqa, oh wait people get distracted when they see people in that too.

There’s a lot of things people get turned on by even if it’s modest, especially uniforms (air hostess etc), but that doesn’t mean we should get rid of it to make it easier for YOU.
If an office or job has a dress code and they follow that, I don’t see an issue. You have to control yourself if you get distracted by what they’re wearing.
In one country I’ve been to I wore a hijab and abaya (could still see my face) but still got attention and hit on by men. In another I wore shapeless very modest clothes but still men look and hit on me even if there were women walking in short shorts just earlier. Covering up won’t always solve your issues. You have to learn self control.

    • Well my version of revealing is basically tight clothes that expose the shape, showing cleavage, and shorts or skirts that just go way too high up. You're saying guys get turned on by different things. I've NEVER met a guy who wasn't turned on by breasts and ass. That you can be sure of. Those special cases like the foot fetish apply to a minority of men. And even that minority would still find breasts and ass attractive. I don't deny that uniforms can be sexy, but it all depends on their design. You can easily have two versions of the same uniform where one is sexy and the other one isn't. Who said the uniform has to be tight? Who said the uniform has to show a lot of skin? To me these are all unnecessary for the job (besides the obvious exceptions like PE uniform). Is showing cleavage ever part of an office job's dress code or do women do that on their own? I am surprised at your experience with being hit on while you were covered. You must just have a really hot face 😅

  • Distracts me too. It's like if a person dressed up as a superhero and went to class like that they can't expect people to not stare out of curiosity and "wtf this person wearing?". Guys don't need to wear short shorts/skirts during the summer to cool off. Majority of guys don't walk around topless or with a tank top so I don't see what girls are complaining about when they say it's too hot

    • Exactly. I can totally understand girls not wanting to cover every inch of skin they have but they then go to the opposite extreme and expose too much. by the way, "revealing" outfits don't just apply to one's that show a lot of skin. If the skin is covered but the clothes are tight then that's also a form of being revealing as the shape of her body is exposed instead. And guys get turned on by the shape of a woman's body just as much as seeing her skin.

  • I agree. There's a lot of women who just wear their cleavage on display. It's like dammit woman, I'm trying be productive. Your tits are distracting.
I honestly don't know how men have the will power to not stare lol At least I'm a woman, my staring doesn't usually make them uncomfortable, or I could just use the excuse that I like her top and then ask her where she got it lol

    • Yeah I honestly struggle not to stare and I'm sure many/most guys are the same. I don't mind it at a party or club but at work or at school it's just damn unnecessary and distracting. Hahaha that's a good cover up, I guess I could use the same excuse and say I'm asking cause I wanna buy it for my girlfriend lol

    • I understand the struggle for men lol Now you know my secret to perving without getting in trouble lol

    • You have imparted words of great wisdom, my friend. I shall use them to my advantage ;)

  • I make sure masturbate enough that, although I may be attracted to them and what they are wearing, it does not distract me much. I also have a fairly solid control on, and a lockdown over my emotions. Keeping myself in this state is a conscious choice. Even if I had the issues you were stating, it is still their bodies, and thus their choice.

    • Not everyone has such a solid grip on their natural urges but it's great that you do and can manage well on your own. I know it's their choice but what's so unreasonable to wish that they would be a little more mindful with what they choose to wear given how visual we are and how easily we get turned on? You sometimes see a girl wearing short shorts or a skirt when it's quite cold outside. Or not just that, sometimes they wear a decent blouse but unbutton the top few buttons to deliberately show cleavage. I mean, they're deliberately and unnecessarily teasing us for no reason. That's why it bothers me sometimes.

    • I wouldn't say its for no reason... people like to feel and look attractive. As for what people wear, if I can wear my jumper in 35 degrees and make others feel hot (as in temperature), then they can wear what they choose too, as long as it doesn't fall afoul of public decency laws. People have clothes they prefer for various reasons, and it is my opinion that the expression afforded by such a thing should not be curtailed without very good reasoning. Nonetheless I can understand it being annoying that you are being distracted by what some choose. Constructing, and living within, a society is all about compromises.

    • But they can look perfectly attractive without displaying all their lady bits for everyone to see. So that's why I also said it's unnecessary. I'm not against women dressing like that at a nightclub or a party. But at work or at uni where you're going there to learn and complete tasks, I don't see how it's appropriate or professional at all. It's distracting for the guy and non-beneficial for the girl. So what's the point? In such a case, shouldn't it be the woman who needs to compromise?

  • Eh, doesn't bother me. I'm not turned on by anything in a skirt.

    • But skirts aren't the only revealing outfits a girl can wear. Even I don't find skirts to be distracting. For me, it's the tights and tight jeans that distract me the most.

    • Oh and short and tight dresses as well.

  • We live in an irrational era, you just gotta learn to live with it.

    • At least you agree it's irrational.

    • Because I don't deny that men and women are different. Women will never understand men on a sexual level. I'm aware that it must be difficult because men are 7× hornier than women.

    • Exactly! Girls will never understand how or why we get an erections just by seeing a woman's cleavage or nipples for example? Or even just seeing a girl bend over or squat can get us really aroused. Girls will never get that. And you're right, we think about sex way more often than women do on average. Maybe 7× is too much but at least twice as much I would say. Also thanks for being a girl who is more considerate than all these other girls saying that it's only my problem and not theirs.

  • Lol 4 yes answers and only 1 no? Honestly who gives a shit? Only an incel would take personal offense at a woman wearing what she feels comfortable in.

    • I have no idea what an incel is but it only bothers me because it affects my concentration while I'm at uni. And you can't say it's my fault for looking cause I don't think it's something any guy can control. I can control my hands just fine but my eyes are a different story. It's not like I haven't tried to fight it but it's honestly too hard. My uni mates all agree with me too by the way.

    • Dude seriously? Well man one day you might find that it's acceptable for girls to go to uni in a bikini if they live near the beach lol. Better get used to it.

    • Lol my uni is located near a beach so I hope that doesn't actually happen.

  • I hate it. I cannot concentrate.

    • But aren't you a girl?

    • Yes.

  • No, I could probably count on one hand the number of times of been truly distracted by hot girls at work or school.
I notice, but I already have a hundred other things on my mind so what’s one more?

    • True but for me that one thing more would supersede all my other thoughts. It doesn't affect me as much now as when I was a teen but yeah it was a real struggle.

    • I never hate anyone.
    • Respect her and compliment her.
    • Her personal choice how to walk.
    • How to wear.
    • What to wear.
    • When to wear.
    • It's her fundamental rights.
  • At work, girls shouldn't attempt to distract boys. Generally, chicks can wear what they want, but FAR TOO MANY fat broads are wearing shorts and showing their cellulite-laden thighs. Not a good look, gals !!!

  • It is not a woman job to plan her outfit around what makes someone else comfortable. Go take a cold shower or actually go out and try to get laid instead of just creepily jacking it to your classmates

    • Would you like it or think it's appropriate for guys to show up to your school or work wearing skin-tight pants that expose the exact size and shape of his penis? Imagine being at your desk working when a male colleague comes up to you to discuss something and the bulge of his penis is staring you in the face. Would that not bother you? Would you find that acceptable? And keep in mind that breasts and ass seduce us much more than how much a guy's penis seduces a girl. Don't say "actually go out and try to get laid" thinking that simply trying will make me succeed. I've never had a girlfriend and girls never find me attractive even though I can get along with them just fine. You just don't get the massive difference there is between a guy and a girl in terms of how easily they can get laid. Guys have to go through a lot of trouble and have money and success when all girls have to do is have breasts and they're good to go. The playing field is heavily skewed and uneven.

    • While I would consider his fashion choice odd I would simple look up at his face when I spoke to him because you know, I'm a civilized human being that doesn't have the urge to rip her clothes off everytime it is revealed to me that there is a penis in my vicinity. It's called not being a rude creepy a hole that stares inappropriately at others. Or you know maybe the reason you haven't had girlfriend is because you go around with this attitude reducing women to sexual creatures that should always dress with your consideration in mind and stating that a women can get whatever she wants just because she has breasts

    • See that's the difference; you would consider it 'odd' rather than sexy so you can't relate. It would never seduce you the way a woman's revealing outfit seduces a guy. You just don't get how visual we are and how easily we get turned on. Guys can get erections just from seeing a hot girl's body. Guys are born with a strong natural inclination to look at women's bodies more than women are programmed to look at guys. It's extremely offensive that you would accuse me of being a creep just for following my natural instincts. Guys do it all the time. I see married guys who are with their wife at the shops who check out every girl that walks past them when their wife is not paying attention. When I'm with my friends, they do it more than I do. And I've been hanging around guys my whole life. You dress like a prostitute then get offended when guys look at you like you're a sexual creature? Is there any logic in that? Yes, girls with breasts CAN get sex whenever they want.

  • Oh I'm sorry if your 15 years old never left and you still think women have to dress or be "modest" in order to make your super tough life easier. Get a grip man, do you even listen to yourself? Lord.

    • You just don't get it cause you're not a guy. Imagine being bombarded in every direction you look by the one thing that seduces you the most. You don't think this will bother you or affect your ability to concentrate on other things?

    • I have this thing called self control... Can't relate.

    • Yeah the body is easy to control but not the eyes. I doubt you would be able to control your gaze if your favourite thing to look in the world at was all around you. And it's different when that thing gives you sudden urges to have sex which, once brought on, are difficult to suppress especially when you're a teenager.

  • No, some guys will just rape them but not me. I think that's wrong

    • Of course it's wrong to rape them. I'm just talking about the inner struggle they give us.

    • You mean in our pants?

    • In our pants and in our minds.
