Is it a turn off for guys that I`m a virgin?

I am a 18 year old girl, soon to be 19 years old. I have never been in a relationship before, neither have had sex. I have had several possibilities to lose it, ever since I first made out with a guy when I was 15 and he wanted more, but it never really felt right. I don`t really expect much from my first time, but I just didn`t want to rush it.
Anyways I`ve been talking to this guy I met a couple of months ago. I would say I`m quite weird with boys because I`m really rearly interested in any of them who wants me, neither sexually or as anything more. But finally I met this guy and it just felt very right, and we have been talking for about two months, and we were supposed to meet a couple of days back. While we were texting before meeting up I decided to be honest and tell him that I was still a virgin. He canceled our plans straight ahead and stopped talking to me. I have never been ashamed of being a virgin until that moment, it was really embarrassing. Is it a really big turn off being a virgin?

As far as I know, it's a major turn on for guys. My ex-husband was my first and it was like the biggest honor to him that he was the only one that I'd ever had sex with.

Seems like there may be something else going on. Maybe he wasn't looking for something serious? It's a big deal taking someone's virginity, IMHO. Or maybe he felt pressured to have sex with you and wasn't ready?

Being a Virgin is nothing wrong, glad your proud. But you don't need to tell a guy that, because they can act weird after knowing. This guy who cancelled your plan is not the guy for you, he probably wanted a hookup. He showed his true agenda and colours. What you say to a guy that your not looking for a hookup and want to wait until your ready.

Some guys find it a turn off, but not all of them do, I know I certainly don't. If I was given the chance, I would love to be a girl's first time, whether I had experience or not. Cheer up, you will meet a guy who won't care if you're still a virgin or not.
