  • Pull out is ether very effective or not effective at all depending on the guy. Precum has no sperm in it. But pull out is not something for a younger guy who is inexperienced and does not know his body well enough yet. He needs to be able to recognize the feelings he gets right before ejaculation and know the point of no return so he can be out and clear before he starts spurting. Every prostate is different and it takes getting to know one's body that way well. Also, one of the biggest mistakes made is when a couple goes at it again soon after the first time with sloppy seconds. If he has not cleaned his penis, pubic hair, and area around, or has not cleaned her area and pubic hair as well, all with soap and water, and urinated to clean out the urethrae, he can introduce sperm inside when he enters her again. Its all just common sense which is not always put into practice in the heat of the moment during a hot night of passion. It requires self discipline. But if one can achieve the discipline as well as know their body and limits, pulling out is as effective as the known highest effective method of birth control, without all the side effects of hormones and other things not good for the woman.

    • What a very mature answer!

    • Agreed! Precum has no sperm in it! 👍

    • Thank you :) I was worried about this too when I started having unprotected sex with a girl I fell in love with. We were having sex a LOT. I would go to her house nightly and it was almost a given that sex would happen before I left each night. We would take out time and go for hours without any protection. I was worried we would get pregnant because she liked and wanted sex every bit as much as I did. But while still enjoying the sex nightly for almost a year, I was very faithful in following through to the T with properly doing the pull out. No problems, from experience.

  • The lunatic fallacy here is 'practiced perfectly'. Same for condoms but a whole lot harder to get wrong.
Real world experience, that is to say outside your little fantasy world, 19% (1 in 5) of couples using this "method" will have a pregnancy on their hands. Not good odds!!!

    Zero protection against STI's.

    • IGNORE STI's! Duh!

    • And here I thought that the Irish don't wear condoms haha 😂😂

  • I hate condoms and so do most guys. Even in relationships that started out using condoms, we’d pretty quickly revert back to the pull out method. It’s easier and feels more natural. I take a low dose birth control pill now and we pull out as a secondary method.

  • Pull out is most certainly not effective. There is sperm in pre-cum too. Condoms are the best bet.

    • Sperm is only found in precum if the guy hasn't urinated after his previous ejaculation.

    • You need to take a biology class stat. That is completely not true.

    • Early understandings on precum ONCE were that sperm is expected to be part of the fluid. Further investigation reveals that the majority of pre-ejaculate fluid had dead or no sperm at all. It is possible for small amounts of sperm to exit your reproductive system and make its way into the precum or pre-ejaculate if the man hasn't urinated from a previous ejaculation.

  • Condoms. Pulling out isn't a legit birth control, it's a great way to end up pregnant.

  • if one us them is on birth control... Pull Out is the way to go

    • and in a serious relationship. Hook up culture is gross so use condoms as well as birth control. Or just don't have sex.

    • That's very true!

    • Why do you need to pull out if the woman is on birth control?

  • See, there's this thing called pre-cum. and sometimes it contains the actual cum... and you only need one... so um... pulling out, as efficient as that may seem... you don't know what your dingus is leaking when you are bare-backing...
its safer to wrap up your peter... safer... not safest...
Safest is to stay away from that particular tunnel lol

    • Sperm is only found in precum if the guy hasn't urinated after his previous ejaculation.

    • ooooK... i will look into that, but i tell you, that just sounds wrong. im pretty sure there would have been urination.

  • When practiced perfectly pulling out is a risky method and should not be used as a form of birth control.

Sperm can remain active outside of the testes for months. Seriously they have you wait two+ months after a vasectomy and then test to make sure there are no sperm in the semen.

Sperm can be carried in to the female through the precum well before ejaculation.

Additionally, pulling out provides almost no protection against STIs.

  • And the gnome hats make another appearance! Welcome back! Lol 😄

    • So condoms or pullout method?

    • Gnome hat.. ahhh.. i get it... it took me a while..(and a lot of me calling you a retard)... but i got it...

    • @Tdieseler haha 😂

  • Even a perfect pullout is less effective than a properly used condom.

    • It still works!

    • Sure, it’s more effective than nothing. But much less effective than actual birth control.

  • Although I am on BC my rule is No Condom No Sex.

  • It's 2018 and people still think the pull out method is safe. SMH

    • It's better than nothing though!

    • But the alternative is not nothing, but condoms or other actual contraceptions. Choosing to pull out if extremely dumb. And besides, where's the fun in having sex and then not cumming inside? Super lame.

    • Haha there are particular circumstances where a couple might rely on the pullout method for a variety of reasons e. g. severe side effects to methods of BC, allergies to condoms etc... And you're an aloof individual lol 😂😂

  • Um, the pull-out method brought us 3 miscarriages. I'd say not effective.

  • Use a condom and stay safe kiddos

  • Men using the pull out method have a special name.
    We call them 'Dad'

  • Condoms. Look up current STD rates.

    • This question is based on STIs not being an issue.

    • I will use condoms unless I'm in a long term relationship with a girl who is also using some sort of birth control on her end.

  • Condoms are safer because even if you pull out you are still having unprotected sex and when you are having unprotected sex you are still exposed to precum.

  • Overall I think basal body temperature (BBT) is one of the safest and most effective methods. Basically track your cycles to know when you're ovulating.

  • Condoms are a form of birth control. The other isn't.

  • Pull out don't guarantee

  • I tried using shallow cum inside you, and was blessed with a beautiful daughter

  • A condom is much better then the pull out method because sometimes you can plan to pour hour and it will feel so good that you end up not calling out and with a condom you have a much higher percentage of not catching some kind of disease and a higher percentage of not getting somebody pregnant or getting pregnant

  • Where did you get that information? And who could do that perfectly every time? And what about pre-cum?

    • Look it up lol

    • Dude, are you telling me you're confident that you can pull out without getting any semen in her every time?

    • Mate i didn't say that so don't put words in my mouth lol

  • I think condoms are safer

  • cf.girlsaskguys.com/.../...f-a665-4758180fcb77.jpg I prefer using the pullout method! 😉
