I've found anal sex works best for me in missionary position, at least for starters. It hurts far less if I'm on my back versus being in doggy position or girl on top. The upside to doing it this way instead of doggy is he can take non verbal cues. Girl on top in a way handles that issue because you're in control. My issue with that though is, it's uncomfortable and it kind of hurts taking a dick up your ass, not gonna sugar coat that, and inflicting pain on myself is a bit difficult for me.
And even if you start in missionary once you've... adjusted to having him in you there you can switch up positions.
