Do you think Mike Tyson did rape Desiree Washington, or was she lying?

Mike Tyson was convicted of raping Desiree Washington, in 1992. He served 3 years of a 10 year sentence, with 4 suspended. He has always maintained his innocence , and said the sex was consensual. Washington, allegedly entered into a beauty pageant after being raped

Tyson's behavior , outside the ring, has proven he has no self-control, and has serious anger issues, and mental health issues. But do you believe Tyson did rape Desiree Washington? Or, do you think she was lying , and he was wrongly convicted?

  • Mike Tyson was troubled through most of his life, HOWEVER, he has also owned up to every one of his actions in every single other occurrence. I see no reason not to believe him because while he was troubled, while he had issues, he never once lied about them. He has been far more forthcoming with his problems then most people have been and so I don't see why any one would not believe him both in that lying has not been his particular sin, and because a woman went to a hotel with a man she just met then claims she was raped seems rather absurd. You know what happens under those occurences, and she got money and fame out of it. The fact that their was no occurrence of rape at any other time before or since also heavily suggests she exploited him for her own gain and with his reputation, and peoples knee jerk reaction of presuming a woman is always innocent, I think they have unfairly labeled him.

  • Mrs. Washington knew Mike Tyson was a mentally unstable man with no control and easy bait to lure and she used that against him to get paid either by suing him or someone hired her with big time money to ruin Mike Tyson's life.

    I 100% believe Mike Tyson is telling the truth, but people knowing he was a criminal from the streets with a horrible reputation will not give Mike Tyson the benefit of doubt in court.

    My opinion- Tyson is an asshole and an idiot. But I don’t think he actually raped Washington. But I can’t tell you for sure, I mean people can agree or disagree with me, but that doesn’t change the truth. Whether Washington was raped by Tyson or not won’t be determined by people’s opinions.

  • I don't know because I don't know the details of the case. But I heard that she went to his room late at night but just didn't want to actually have sex with him. (I could be wrong) It makes her naive to do something like that but if she said no then it's definitely rape.
