Who taught you about sex first and what age was this?

Although my cousin and i snuck to watch softcore HBO porn in 6th grade, it didn't teach me much. I didn't know what people were doing when they put their head down there and i didn't know which hole the thingys went in. For the longest we thought you peed from the clit lmao. All porn taught me was how to kiss and get your tits sucked. I didn't know what cum looked like (dont recall seeing it in softcore porn) and i just assumed an orgasm was a weird seizure cause of how the body shook.

I heard lyrics in songs and i even overheard my mom doing it with my sisters dad around age 5 but i didn't know how they made a baby. My mom never had the sex talk with me. She just always said, “You better not be doing anything you ain't got no business doing.”

I was so naive when it came to my first boyfriend at age 14. I fell for a lot of stuff and he could easily take advantage of me since he was basically the one teaching me. I didn't even know what a clit was until like 11th grade when my guy friend taught me through phone sex. That was age 17 and the first time i masturbated/orgasmed. My body shook so bad that it scared me and i never masturbated again until a month before i turned 21.

I didn't know what a cunt was until G@G. I watched hardcore porn at age 22. Out of curiousity, i spent a day watching how lesbians tribbed, how gay dudes took it in the bootyhole, how people gave blow/rimjobs, and how people came. I found it weird, odd, and somewhat disgusting. Lmao now i just stick to hetero porn cause the rest just ain't for me.

School was late with teaching us. Most of us had already naively, cluelessly been pressured into losing our virginitys in middle school aka junior high around ages 14-16. Our school didn't offer sex ed until 9th grade and by then it was a bit late to learn about the consequences (stds/pregnancy). Half of us had no idea what abortion was, yet a lot of the gurls let guys talk them into “drinking bleach” to kill their unborn babies. Sad #FeelFreeToList #ShareUrExperience

As far as I remember, I got to know about sex from my friends back when I was in 5-6th grade. I was dared to ask our bio teacher about it - and as usual, pride had the better of me. I asked my bio teacher how the sperm that comes from penis reaches ovaries inside a girl (I didn't know much about sex back then... All I knew was that's how a baby is produced. I did know that we thrust our penis inside the vagina... But that wasn't "taught" in 6th grade). The teacher avoided my question by saying that you'll get to know about it in 7th grade (which was a lie... They taught us that in 10th grade).
When I was in 6th grade, a newly admitted student (who's now one of my best friends) first showed me a porn clip. It was some lesbian stuff... And I barely saw it for a fraction of second before turning away my face from it. That was my first (and last) contact with porn.
As i grew older, I learnt about protective measures. When I was in grade 8, I had an unusual fascination with condoms. I wanted to know how to use one. A senior student taught me about it. He said that it looks like a rubber ring that can stretch a lot. At that time I was enquiring (to my elder cousin ~ in the same grade) about clitoris. I was desperate to see a clitoris!! He said, "Haven't you ever seen one in a naked baby girl?" and I was like "No!" Sadly I've not had much time with children and even if I did, I would never try to spread the legs of an infant just to see how a clitoris looks like.
Then I reached the 9th grade. And that's when I got "enlightened". My cousin ( the one I referred to before) took fancy to a girl and wanted me to befriend her to get them together. So I managed to have a permanent seat beside her, never really became friends with her. I was her enemy and she was mine. AND I took advantage of every minute that I spent with her. I asked her all sorts of ridiculous questions - what is a clitoris? Do you have a g-spot? How many holes so girls have down there? Do you have periods? How often do you get aroused? Etc. Etc.
She hates me till date for no reason whatsoever. And I hate/love her. Hate her for all the bad things she's done with me, love her for all the info I got from her 😂

So yeah, that's my story of being introduced to sex!

    • Lmao this is hilatious. And lol u turned away from lesbo porn. I know my story above is long but you should read it when you have the time, just to see how cluless i was

    • Already read it 😂 Always read them if it's some incident that happened to the asker in the past 😛 it's fun to read these experiences

    • And yes I turned away from lesbian porn. Religious biases 😂

  • When I was in 8th grade (around age 12), my dad and stepmom gave me a sex ed book. They told me to read the entire book, then ask them any questions about anything.

This book covered EVERYTHING, for both boys and girls.

So I also knew what the girls were going through too!

Who taught you about sex first and what age was this?

  • I was given a book, extremely graphic and educational about female puberty and it only got a tiny bit into sexual hormones. I kinda figured it out on my own too in elementary. I just knew the basics. I guess my dad gave me the talks in high school. He’d get REALLY heavy into details and show me all the disgusting horrors of STDs. Showed me what condoms were too. My moms talk were mainly “don’t get pregnant cuz I ain’t helping you raise no baby when I didn’t have help too”. So yeah... that was my personal experience. I guess porn showed me that there were some nasty creatures out here 😂 but that wasn’t exactly breaking news. I did like lesbo stuff. That’s how I was certain I was more attracted to women. I have learned that it doesn’t take having sex to know all about sex. I’m glad that I learned that way because sometimes experience can actually be a bad thing if you aren’t careful. SO I THANK THE LORD FOR PORNOGRAPHY, BOOKS, AND BASIC COMMON SENSE! 🙏🏾

    • Lol u read my story huh

    • Yeah. I personally feel that it's common courtesy to read the whole post, especially if it's a relatively long one. I mean, you typed all that stuff for a reason, so why not?

    • Thank you :)

  • My parents taught me NOTHING about sex lol. My dad just wasn't that type of dad even though he has all girls. He just dictated rules and regulations and we'd better follow em. And my mom and I didn't have that type of relationship. So I was naive and unprepared too. I read books and listened to other girls talk about it. I masturbated for the first time at 17 but I don't think I was doing it right because I can't remember having an orgasm until I was in my 20s.

    • Lol did u read my story

    • Yes ma'am

  • That was indeed a hard way for you dear Des.
I actually have had a bit the experience as you.
As all boys were talking, I used books from the library and at home did some research on the Internet. I was too young.
I had no clew about anything, and as you have mentioned, school systems unfortunately teach us late.
I was in fact 13 years old when they taught me at school about simply how male and female are different down there. They were simple drawings.
At the age of 17, french school system, they taught us about contraception. I had a weird laughing look at class as for I have been using the condoms for a while.
If for you as a girl it was a bit hard to understand your body, how do you think I have felt all those years they were trying to teach me about how complex a woman's body is etc... ? :-D

    • Loll

    • Glad you have had a good laughter :-)

  • I don't remember everything. I don't think my parents gave me the sex talk. But I was in 7th grade when I learned about pregnancy.

    • I know my story above is long but you should read it when you have the time, just to see how cluless i was

    • I have read it.. And it happens. It happened to one of my friends that I knew since 6th grade and she was still 16 and got pregnant. Her boyfriend found a way to convince her for him to not use a condom.

    • Yea my boyfriend convinced me too but luckily the pullout method worked

  • You pee every day of your life how could you think it came from your clit?

    • Because i never looked down there. I peed and wiped. No reason to spread my lips to see where it came from

  • The very first time I heard about it was at the age of 8 from an older friend. We were outside and some couple apparently had sex with the windows open so I wondered what the sounds were.
Besides, I got interested in that subject at the age of 13 and read about anything educational about it I could find in our library. I didn't had any sexual education at school till the 9th grade because every teacher before that just skipped it xD

  • Grade 5 sex education class + friends around the same time

    • I know my story above is long but you should read it when you have the time, just to see how cluless i was

    • I’m sorry to hear that... where are you from? In Quebec, Canada we have 3 sex education classes every year since grade 5, and a bunch of my more experiences friends know what’s going on. I saw porn a few times but wasn’t into it at all. My family never taught me about it because I’m not really close to them and it’s a awkward topic to bring up

    • Im in america. I live in the south

  • My first exposure came from sneeking in my brothers room and seeing his porno magazines and videos. when our parents found his stash, my mom sat me down and explained the details and even drew me diagrams. I think I was 11-12. AWKWARD.

    • Lol dang. Did u read my story

    • Omg 😂

    • I did. That thing with boys and bleach is disgusting.

  • My parents did. I was probably 11 or 12 when they taught me about it and 13 when I lost my virginity so they knew what they were doing.

  • I pretty much always knew. My parents told me parts starting at 7 or 8. Sex ed in my school was pretty good and in grade 4. I've always touched myself but the first time i "masterbated" was probably 2nd grade.

I had sex a month after i turned 15 but i knew how everything worked

    • I've seen alooot of porn so that helped

    • Grade 4 sex ed? Wow we didn't get sex ed until grade 9. Thats why i was cluless af when i also lost mine at 15. I know my story above is long but you should read it when you have the time, just to see how cluless i was

    • I did! Its scary. Peope think not teaching kids helps when all it does is harm them

  • My school started talking about it and it was just on the surface first but we were around 10 and after that every year we would talk about that topic until age 15/16

    • Still I wish my mom would have talked with me, cause the details and for what to look for I learnt them through magazines and learning by doing

    • Dang. Checkout my story

If not I see it on tv in movie.

    • Yea. Lol read my tv

  • I first watched porn when I was 12-13 in my neighbor's house on his PC. Just being curious but that was the first time I saw a naked woman in a folder of photo / video collection (porn movies, too, of course).

  • Had some make out session and leaned a little bit but I leaned the most from my husband
